I like to play as the Timurids and stay as Timurids for the whole game One of my biggest challenges is how to get to the
reform of the Gov. decision in between wars and succession crisis. What are the best ways to increase Legitimacy the fastest
when playing as the Timurids? I know about the Royal Marriages. What else can I do to speed up the Legitimacy rate?
No I don't want to turn into Mughals, done it many times before already. I like the challenge of helping the Timurids survive
as an Empire until 1821, plus of course the color is priceless.

Get a strong heir. Royal marriages tend to be a net loss in legitimacy. You can also try to maintain 100 prestige, get the trading bonus in chinaware, and hire a level 2 artist advisor to get the Diwani Script event which gives +1 yearly legitimacy in perpetuity.

I found the rebels to be extremely annoying in my last Timurid game. I delayed becoming the Mughals by first ripping Punjab out of Delhi and had most of the Arabian penninsula by the time I was ready to take Delhi. Legitimacy dropped to 50% once due to many annexed vassals. Religious and regional rebels followed almost monthly and depleted my manpower. I too like the color, like the Nomad CBs, but it can get quite unnerving to play, especially when a big war looms (Ottomans, I'm looking at you) and your manpower isn't at its highest.

Let house of peace kill your heirs until you get one with a strong claim.
That I didn't think about. Had a 80 year old king and a 75 year old heir and wanted the "younger" guy dead. I should have just stopped my warring ways for a couple of years, d'oh.

I recommend releasing Persia to hike up unity at the start and get a powerful vassal that can beat a lot of nations by itself. For Delhi, I'd recommend sitting on OE to vassal them across 2-3 wars, depending on what kind of CB you want to use. With horde's bad BROT though they're usually best off using their low AE one to compensate and farm prestige to help out.

The MTTH on house of peace to kill the heir is very low. You'll seldom wait over a year once a truce ends.
