I recently watched this great video (music and speeches make a nice touch):

And I started thinking... could it be possible to somehow have something like this in HoI4, where the game records your progress and you'd be able to share and watch it afterwards at high speed? Or is this just another stupid idea without any popular interest? Is it a waste of resources? Too expensive? Impossible?

I agree, this would be fun to watch, but it shouldn't just have to be at the end of a campaign, you should be able to watch the timelapse for any save at any time.

No they never did. The Shah was (possibly) sympathetic to Hitler, but the British and Russians invaded jointly before anything came of it.

Civilization has such feature. It's always fun to recap the events that lead to the final result.

It was also a matter of opening up the southern lend lease route to Russia. While the northern route past Norway gets all the press, the southern route delivered a lot more material. It's also a little known fact that while the US was at war with Japan, lend lease supplies were flowing across the Pacific to Russia.

They rebelled against British occupation but didn't achieve much. The Germans flew in some weapons via the Levant (Vichy French). If they had successfully thrown British forces out of the country they might have formally joined the Axis. In HOI3 terms, the Germans raised some Arab forces so Iraq could potentially be treated as a government in exile.

It's the first time I ever saw a blue Soviet union vs. a red Germany on the map. Should be the other way around!!
