I am not entirely sure if this is supposed to be a feature or not but because no additional information was provided in game and I haven't seen anything similar discussed I am going to consider it a bug. Timed events in I:R (well, some of them) are not on time.

In the picture above you can see the date is December 9 and the due date on the character screen is November 30. This could be a feature as the birth day is not set in stone by any means. What caught my attention was that this is not an isolated incident.

In this picture you can see I have been promoting local investments and it is clearly stated there that these investments will yield the reward on November 22. As you can see it is now November 30 and it is still not done.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there is an issue with timekeeping in the game at the moment.
(Just for the record I am running Windows 10 and this is the latest release of Imperator: Rome obtained through GOG.)

The due date/birthday thing is probably intended for realism purposes - mother nature just doesn't follow the strict human calendar, when it comes to pregnancies :)

The 2nd thing is very like a case of "IR needing end of the month to recalculate" - have you progressed another day from the November 30th on? Especially when it comes to trade routes IR seems to recalculate them only when a month ends - this becomes also visible when loading a save. It is a bit annoying, but my personal guess is that it is probably an engine thing, hwich can't be changed. Or something that would affect performance negatively, if done more regularly.
