Is the game just become laggy or did time slow significantly once you hit the 19th century? A month takes about a minute! And I have the highest game speed.
There's no intrinsic reason why the game would become slower around 1800. It must have to do with the particular circumstances of the game you're playing (maybe a lot of countries are at war).Originally posted by Arilou

I disagree the bigger the country the more armies and the more the AI has to think, Usally at any given time there is at least 8 wars in the whole world, if bigger the counties are fighting slow down is more of a factorI thought the game slightly sped up at later levels, since there are fewer computer countries left typically.
There is an inverse relationship between the speed of the game and the number of countries in existence, since the AI has to do less with fewer countries. However, maybe in some later scenarios, the larger number of provinces colonized makes up for this?Originally posted by BarristerBoy
