Hi there. I wanted to know about how time works in the game...

I read this quote from the reddit AMA

"Actually, the game will not include a day night cycle. The creation of a city moves in a timeframe where a day/night cycle simply would make sense, the days would just blink by"

So there is no night time right? Its just always day time?
Do we have the option to speed the simulation up?
Can you explain how long a day takes when the game is being played at normal speed?

Yeah, this is a good question. If every Cim is a real representation and they are all doing real things in the city, then a time must come when they leave for work, go shopping and go home. How does the game represent the start and end of the day? Does it go from 6am to 6pm and then reset to 6am again, therefore just skipping the night time?
I'm very disappointed about the lack of night cycle more than any other feature. The peak hours in SimCity 4 are great to watch. I hope this can be fixed by mods.

In the live stream, you could see that one day took only about 10 seconds. I personally don't really like this idea. I think that day/night cycles would be nice, because of rush hour and stuff and just visuals. I know they mentioned day/night cycles probably being a DLC though.
