The time arrival window get hosed ALOT sometimes days in the past and the unit just sits there in movement mode but never moves, or (maybe a feature) it chooses the last choosen date which can be really bad when the next unit you select is a mucho fast mover please just default this to the soonest arrive time for the unit!

forgot to mention that when the unit is in this "stuck" mode the only way to get him unstuck is to click on him and deselect his movement order by right clicking in same province.

The time arrival should default be as quick as the unit/stack can move somewhere.

Add in a button saying "Use previous" to emulate the way it works today, and things would be nice indeed :)

I'd say this is working as designed and really down to personal preference. If you are setting up a co-ordinated attack on a province then by ordering the slowest unit first all other units will then default to the same time. Quite useful IMHO.

If you want fastest possible arrival time then just click the minus one month button.

If I am setting up a coordinated attck, I usually shift-click all the units/stacks involved before clicking the target province. Planes, if used, are added after that.

If I could choose, I'd have "shortest time", since it happens more that I "forget" a previous choice when entering a new (potentially shorter) movement than I need to coordinate more than one or two movement orders.

I agree the option is useful, but it could be provided by a "Use previous arrival date"-button in the movement box

As you say, it's a matter of personal preference, which makes it an ideal object of a user selection in the options screen :)
