There's no reason Spain and the OE should ever come to blows, really. At least not over anything in the Med - you're far more likely to run into France first. We also have no mutual interest, so I doubt we'll be involved in a war unless it's a balance of power thing.

Looks like we have most of the major powers filled. We still have about two weeks before we start this new game. I edited the thread starter with everyone's selections. Rules are coming together as well. I suggest everyone read them over again to make sure they are alright with everyone.

3pm EST Sunday, right? My other Sunday game is at 10am and hasn't run past 3 yet so I don't see a reason not to make it. Matter of fact, I'll be even more likely to be there since my arse's already planted at a computer

that issue should only happen once, whenever one of the few unification events fires - unless the Prussian player is uncooperative and insists on annexing every minor within the first 20 years...
I'll sign up for Prussia then. I've not played it very much, but it should be fun! When do you plan on starting the game (date/time)?

If you are interested in annexing w/o crashing, you can always sattellite the german minors, then break the alliance w/ one and annex it, that way no crash. or, just be patient and wait for the unification event to fire

So, we're nearly ready! I would like to make a couple suggestions : Let's have the AAR and Dip threads in the main Vicky AAR forum, where they'll get more traffic. And let's have a house rule against attacking through satellites that are not at war, it's a rather gamey tactic.
While I'm not against your rule, I just dont see it as an exploit. Its the same as military access. However, abiding by your rule would make it much more gentlemanly. I was the brunt end of such things in 1902 vs Russia
