Thuringia in 561 AD - Rise to Glory?

I have started a game as Thuringia in 561 AD (playing Steppe Wolf mod). Nearby are the Franks, Saxons, Liutichi, Moravs, and Bavaria. Tech-wise, Thuringia is even with the Franks and Bavaria, while the others lag behind by about 20 levels!

I chose this game to be a challenge, as the Franks expand more and the colossal Byzantine Empire owns Italy, the Balkans, Africa, and Turkey due to Justinian's Reconquista.

We will see where it goes from here!

Starting moves: fortify (upgrade forts) for all of my 10 provinces.
