Reoyl gains +1 Fire to his leader from battle experience
Spell Effects:
Alesso gazed out to sea and watched as the clouds darkened on the horizon. With his eyes the phenomena was hardly noticeable, but Alesso watched from the etheric plain where much was clearer. A shadow enshrouded the entire realm of Brunei causing great riots as people faced the death of the sun (stab 3-> -1). Nowhere was the destruction worse than in the capital of Brunei, which seemed struck by the wrath of an angry god. Madness reigned. Local government practically evaporated (tax collector, legal counsel, governor GONE), the shipyard was burned by looters, and fully one quarter of the population died during those days of madness. The spirit of the people had taken a hard blow (base MP -2, base tax -2), but in the end order prevailed and after a few weeks the shadow dissipated. At the height of the troubles the rebellious populace threatened the master himself, but his wrath and the valour of his chosen guard defended his ultimate fortress. Only minor damage was suffered in the defense [fortress -1].
Alesso had only seem something like this once before, and then only in his periferal vision. This one seemed more powerful somehow and he lent all his powers to determine the source of the manifestation. Although he couldn't be sure, in the end he was convinced the spell originated from Mataram!
Confucius for his part cowered in the bowels of his newfound lair and wimpered (cursed -1 MIL for a session). Screaming as his city fell around him he barely managed to trace his mind attacker.
As Alesso continued to glaze down at the destruction he felt a sharp plea for help from his Admiral Dai Shi currently besieging Reoyl's capital, swifty he returned raising his defenses as he went but too late to deflect the attack upon his Admiral [Admiral Dai Shi the water dragon is cursed -1 FIRE/SHOCK for a session]. As Dai Shi cried out in pain Alesso felt the dark force direct itself at him with a red hot fury. If he hadn't been mourning over Dai Shi Alesso could almost have laughed at the puny attack, did his brother Reoyl really think he could harm him, Alesso, when the power of the Throne itself protected him? [Offensive spell directed at Alesso falls harmlessly against his shield].
Yet Alesso's powers had their limits and as dark sorcery continued to come out of the eastern islands Gothmog was to recieve the worst of it. Though somewhat prepared Gothmog was unable to deflect the fireballs that fell from the sky on Sarakham, Lampang and Bago destroying the manufactories there, and barely managed to deflect the one aimed at Laos. Whether these attacks were also the work of Reoyl or somebody else was hard for Alesso to judge, though they certainly come from one or more of the island nations.
Out in his island lair Reoyl laughed madly as he prepared his next dark ritual (SMN will provide details) and recieved his dark blessing.
After the sorcery in the east, the west by comparison was fairly quiet, yet not totally so. Alvaro, freshly whole of body again clutched his head in agony and almost stumbled from his horse as he came under mind attack (cursed -1 MIL for a session). After finally fending off the attack Alvaro managed to trace the source of his adversary. In the province of Bishkek in the lands of the horselord a small earthquake struck destroying part of the cities fortifications (-1 level).
For all the evil falling from the skies it would be easy to miss the good that occured. In the snowy province of Kolyma the power of the Helm of the Conqueror encouraged the people there to build a weapons manufactory. People flocked to the train grounds of Bali ready to enroll for Reoyl's next military adventure (Bali hits max manpower), and in the city of Victory some kind soul laid a gentle enchantment that saw the tax revenues of the city burgeon.
