I just got home, seems Brunei was AI, as expected, I will take a look at it if anyone could send me the save?

Though maybe I should quit this game, leave room for another player. My unstable internet is not good, and I have a lot to do RL, being so much away is ruining it for the rest of you

Didnt feel like waitinf afterwards, so i subbed in Unleashed instead .

It was screwed and bent over by the Vij and Mataram killing all Bengal troops and fleets(?), then AI Spain took African holdings, then rebellers caused havoc in America, all because Bengal didn't have an army or even money to buy one (and with everybody fighting wars, money was tight with everybody (Gothmog going bankrupt being the prime-example) but despite that Alvaro the Horselord did send small amounts of money so that Conf could buy an army to fight in America)... Yes, lots of things happening for Bengal...

The following is also rather good, I think. It happened after Alvaro withdrew to Delhi from the liberated Ganges, but then Gothmog refused to sign peace. Alvaro got busy with colonising and diplomatic negotiations, and was distracted. Then all by the sudden I realise Ganges is again held by Vientianne, and Mughals it retreating in Howrah. So Alvaro calls his 30k Horselords and charges through India to help the hard-pressed 35k Mughals. Gothmog, obviously thinking he was for an easy kill

After that it was the usual procedure: Alvaro chases Gothmog through India, who barely survive once again by escaping to the jungle-mountains of Vientianne. After liberating Ganges again (and the small side-show with Mataram and Vij beginning) Gothmog finally realises his way is wrong and accepts peace

The save can be downloaded from the first post. If you do decide to quit then let me know. In that case it would probably be a good idea to move Confucius to Brunei but we'll see. It would still be nice to have some die-hard to take Bengal down in flames!

HAHAHA, Chagatai and Mughals definately did more to make all of that happen than Vijayanagar did.
Besides, the Spanish war was even over BEFORE Vijayanagar did anything..
Bengal lost africa in 1618, because of CHAGATAI and MUGHALS keeping them down.
Vijayanagar attacked only in 1623

What happened to Bengal:
(note: I never had a fleet to begin with)

-signed peace with Mughals for MA, got some much-needed cash in return (at the time, 5/7 homeland provinces were occupied)
-signed peace with annoying, CRT ahead, AI spain, which rid me of Egypt and the one caribbean island w/o a manu. Damn war cost me my only leader, who popped up in Egypt
-built up the army and converted NA.
-Mataram/VIJ dow, within 3 months 6/7 homeland provinces taken, last one under siege, army dead. Losing to pure inf with a 50/50 army in plains
-signed peace losing Bundelkhand, gah
-got a nice string of bad events, 3 cities demand old rights, 2 unhappy peasantry, a colonial uprising, and bad government policies
-got a civil war, losing every single soldier abroad.
-got around to killing most of those rebels, at the time I left the last ones were being hit by China, and I assume they are now dead.

Oh, and along the way I practically begged everyone for aid, but the Mughals had no player left at the time they got peace, VIJ/MTR and CHI/VIE were fighting eachother, and Chagatai were fighting Nippon. Only Chagatai ever sent something, for which I am gratefull. I also lost 60 percent of my battles with rebels.

As to the situation: with 20k ducats, Bengal could be a great colonial power. Or if ever it gets aid from Vientiane and the Mughals, seeing as VIJ/MTR beat up China and Vientiane, while first rolling over Bengal.

The other option is becoming Vijayanagar's lapdog, but that isn't nice, either.

Just for the record as there seems to be lots of confusion over the matter (even in the court of Bengal ) : Chagatai *was not* in war with Bengal. In India Chagatai was just fighting Vientianne, who had illegally attacked the Mughals

After a noble fight against Mughals Bengal was exhausted, a fact the Vij and Mataram took full advantage of. The Vij and Mataram bent Bengal over, and effectively destroyed Bengal (despite the (unfortunately pitifully poor, because the damn Nipponese and Manchu tought it is nice to keep DOWing Chagatai over and over again...) attempts from Chagatai to help Bengal to recover).

They did retake Ganges? Wow, ghost-AI has become much more creative lately... AFAIK the negotiations of Ganges fell apart when Mughals went ghost, and after Bengal where ghost there was just Alvaro and two ghosts doing negotiations...

Avernite, you have understood wrong! In this game you must all the time remember
a) you were screwed by your brothers (especially Alesso and Gothmog) and bad events
b) despite that you were victorious (no matter even if you happened to lose 90% of your empire when having all the aces, you still must say how good you were at kicking butt)

You can thank brother Qutb and Kraunak for that. There was a major war in Siberia going on, and I tried to negotiate with different parts to solve the situation. So yes, my reply to Conf was delayed, because I was not capable to wage a major war and try to negotiate with different brothers on different issues... I guess I should have chosen "I must multitask" but then there is the risk for schizophrenia... errr... ooops... wrong game...

Oh, the fact that Gothmog and Alesso defended Bengal for nigh on two decades does not count in your recollection? Bengal has been screwed by the Mughals and Vijayanagar (with the acquiescence of their running dogs, the Chagatai), but hardly the Good Brothers Alesso and Gothmog.
