I've just started playing and are starting to get a grasp on things, but three things elude me right now:

1. How do you tell what laws of inheritance other realms have (I've spotted a lovely only child (daugher) which seems like a good marriage prospect, depending on what laws are in place in that duchy)

2. One of my heirs are presently at another court. Will he return once he has grown (he´s currently 15), if he inherits or not at all? (And in the latter case, is he considered part of another dynasty, that would be most unfortunate...)

3. Is it possible to assign which characters will lead mobilized troups?

Thanks in advance!

1. Go into the screen where you see the laws and see which law makes his realm green - this is his current law.

2. He will return if he inherits or if his mother returns since he is underage or if you marry him back with one of your courtiers - afaik he don't return by himself.

3. Make him Marshal and he will lead the first unit raised away from your "capital" the second unit or the one raised in your capital will be yourself, the rest i dont know the way they are chosen.

1) If you go into the laws section of your court and select one of the laws the realms that have that law will be high-lighted in green.

2) Is he your son?

3) Only in as much as your king will always lead the regiment from your capital province (the one with the royal shield), otherwise the first mobilized regiment will be led by your marshal.

Edit: Bah! Too late.

Thanks for the quick replies all! You've saved my afternoon (and most of the night...) :)

The guy is my son (next in line) and I was planning to marry him off with the daughter in question 1, so marry him to someone in my court is not an option.. Guess I have to find another option.
