All three 4.02 campaigns I have played so far have seen the Nationalists losing. Really not that big of a deal, but I'm just curious if others have seen this as persistently. All three campaigns I have played have been as axis that gave 'Intervention' and lend-lease. The first campaign I averaged about 20 IC LL, the second about 15 IC, the current campaign I gave them a consistent 35 IC for three years. This current one is quite painful as 35 IC is not insignificant and the Nationalists never looked like they were doing well. I kept up though, because I produced about 50 IC and really dislike having to deal with minors as Germany.

I have never sent Lend-Lease to Nationalist Spain, and in the dozen-plus games I've gone through with TFH, the Republicans have only won about twice. I do notice that if the SCW occurs later than usual, Republican Spain is a lot tougher. Nat. Spain gets the generic starting techs when it forms, so if Rep. Spain has researched a few techs and doctrines before war starts, it's got an edge. If the war happens early, Nat. Spain generally wins.

In previous expansions, if a Republican unit spawned in La Coruna, the city would then be Republican, and several intended Nationalist units which were subsequently placed there by the scenario (aircraft, for example) would then become Republican as well. When the enemy gets all of both your and their aircraft, it's generally a bad thing. I could usually tell at a first glance which side was going to win just by the alignment of La Coruna and the date. In TFH, it's a bit harder to predict, but the earlier it occurs, the more likely that it will be a Nationalist victory.

What seems to work for me is sending in spies that lower the national unity of Republican Spain and increase dissent.

It's a fine balancing act when to increase dissent for Republican Spain: If you want to practically be guaranteed Nationalistic Spain wins, increase dissent at very start and set it to level 3. Too much and National Spain will win really quickly. But I haven't been able to supply troops there anyway with TFH dlc or the latest patches. I think I haven't gotten military access lately either with the latest DLC.

On Very Hard having National Spain is pretty important, otherwise the UK could send a landing party there.

It is strange, reading other peoples experience with the game. I normally play as a member of the Allies, and as to the N. Spain and R. Spain war I see the winner is about 50/50 as to who wins.

I have no life so play this game over and over again. Can't count the number of times I have played, but have seen, I think, nearly every possibility in the game.

I usually see the Republicans win about 25%. If your concerned about historical accuracy in a particular game, tag switch and delete Rep units, then the Nationals overrun them.
