Consider the following situation:
I have a big army in one of my border provinces, and I am sieging an enemy province adjacent to it with a smaller army. I'm not going to place the big stack on the siege due to attrition issues. However, the enemy tries to move a medium stack on the siege; then I set my big stack to march towards the siege; at that point the medium stack chickens out. So far no problem. But then I also cancel the movement of my big army... at which point the whole dance begins again.
Isn't there a way to teach the AI that it's not useful to try again until the circumstances change?
