Thread not showing

Howdy. So, I've been googling around trying to find an answer but I'm not really up to scratch on my lingo as it were, so I'm struggling to find any answers.

Basically, I noticed a while ago -- maybe two months ago or so -- that a thread on the forums no longer seemed to appear in the list of threads on the page. It was a thread with a lot of views, so in the past I could simply sort by views and it would show up in the top 10 or top 20 or so. However, it doesn't anymore, and I have no idea why that is.

Is there something wrong with why it wouldn't be appearing, do the forums have a setting that removes certain threads from lists after a certain timeframe? I can't seem to figure out why it wouldn't be showing up anymore and was wondering if there was a way to resolve that at all.

I think you are describing a known issue ><. Try the following:

- Scroll to the bottom of the forum
- Click Thread Display Options
- Don't change anything, just click Set Options
- Check if the thread appears again

Nope, sadly that didn't seem to do anything.

I'm not sure if it happens with more threads than just the one, but here's the link:

Admittedly, it is my own, hence why I noticed it wasn't appearing, and hence why I am curious as to why. It always used to show up normally, and I'm wondering now if perhaps I've fiddled with a setting I can't find by mistake.

The most recent post in that thread is August 10 2016. So it is affected by the issue that TinyWiking mentioned above, since that occurs when a thread has not been updated for a year.

When sorted by views it does not appear in the first page as it's views are not in the top 20 in that forum.

So to see it you have to sort by view, do what TinyWiking said, then go to page 2. It's right there about 6 down.

If it ever has a newer post then it will still be on page 2.

Yep, that did the trick. I guess it was an issue on my end then, because both the first and second pages have way more stuff on them than I have seen before and I've never been able to find my one. Thanks for the help Andrew (and Tiny)!

No problem! It's an odd problem and one we are working to get fixed but for now this it the workaround we've found .
