Hello, I have noticed an issue when browsing older threads. At a certain point the thread display errors out and instead says that it is displaying threads "281 to 280", "301 to 300", "321 to 320", etc. As can be seen, there must be some error here seeing as how the pattern otherwise is lower to higher (e.g. 241–260 as happens on p. 13 of the OT Forum Games forum as of the time of this post), not higher to lower. In the OT Forum Games forum, this occurs after p. 14 of the OT Forum Games forum which of the time of this post says that it is displaying threads 261 to 262.

In addition, I can see no threads when the display is broken. As a note, when the display says that it is showing threads 261 to 262 I can see two threads.

I have taken the following screenshot of the phenomenon at the page count where it starts as of the time of this post. The key part in the image is the text which says that it is "Showing threads 281 to 280 of 799".

This may or may not be the same issue as the one in an earlier thread posted by another user, but as said user seems to point to another fault I am posting this as a separate thread.

It is the same issue, but I never noticed that before. Now I can see why it is not showing the threads, but not the reason why it is coming up like that. There is a workaround, which you will see looking at my thread, but it didn't work for me. You maybe more luckier.

Oh, it is the same issue? My mistake then. I suppose I should've posted in your thread instead.

I can note that the workaround (i.e. click the "thread display options" (as I have done in the picture) and then click "set options") does not work. I personally don't understand why it even would work. In the older fora there was an option to show older threads, which of course fixed the issue there (since it wasn't even an error), but such an option is not currently available. Since the problem does not seem to be erroneous settings anymore, I don't see how resetting the display options would affect it.

They can probably see them as they have moderator permissions to view all threads regardless of status.

I would suggest the moderators make a test account for checking forum user issues as Moderator accounts necessarily will to a degree function differently (ability to see hidden threads etc). Why do I insist as much? Same as the name of the new EU4 expansion. General user accounts have different permissions that moderator accounts. I'm trying to find Graphic mod threads in Victoria 2 of which there are hundreds.

I've already tried doing exaclty what they same solves it...it does not. I can only see under 40 threads of HUNDREDS in victoria 2 graphics mods subforum.

It's the same in EVERY subforum on the forum. I'm sure many others would raise this issue if they had the notion to do so. We're stuck manually searching for threads long inactive until whoever manages the forums fixes the permissions/functions for viewing threads for all users.

I think this is either a Administrator control panel issue that can be resolved within an hour to a day or something extremely wrong with the new forum. I can't even see threads I've posted in without manually pulling them up by reviewing prior posts via the link on my own profile...ffs.

Things aren't ever incredibly simple though :)

It is interesting why it appears to be working for at least myself and yet not you. Although I am a demi-moderator, that only gives me increased permissions within the areas I moderate, in other areas I am still just a base user in terms of access.

However, I would be in a different usergroup, which could be the cause of the problem. Its about getting someone with the access to the admin backend and the capacity to investigate/resolve this that is the issue. Everything is a question of priority and impact :)

All I can say at this point again, is that the staff are aware of the issue. We're not ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist. Please bear with us :)
