Thoughts on the recent change to army professionalism 80/100% bonsues?

Before the Japan patch the 80% army professionalism bonus was -50% general cost, 100% bonus was half morale damage to back line reserves in battle.

After Japan patch these two bonuses are switched, but now morale damage to reserves are doubled.

I still like the pre Japan patch better because really, as a human player you really should not be taking morale damage to your reserves if you micro'ed your armies well. I much rather have the half general cost at 80% so I can keep spamming general to bring up my professionalism and use slacken recruit for men power. It's already so hard to keep up with army professionalism as a large nation as is.

Nah, it's better as is. Normally the benefits of creating a general is +1 AP. But if you're at 100%, no bonus, obviously... so they compensate you by getting the general 1/2 cost.

Likewise, the (main) purpose of drilling is to increase AP. But at 100% AP, there's no more reason to drill, except to give the units the fighting bonuses. So, at 100% AP, again you get 'compensated', by getting faster unit drill gain.

I'm personally quite pleased that one cant get 2 years worth of manpower for the measly cost of 125 military power anymore. Make mercs more costly/limited (no, professionalism didn't kill them, especially not with lower amounts making them even more accessible), and I think we may end up with a game where manpower management is fairly interesting.
