Thoughts on improving Westernization

I don't like the current system, mostly because of the exploits around it.
Instead of having a core right next to a western country, which makes sense for east-european countries, I would suggest that Indian and behind tech groups need some godfather to help them westernize in form of a special diplomatic relationship. The godfather should get a benifit for helping westernize, similar to protectorates.

An other idea which I had was a trading post(inspired by) which can be build and invite foreign traders and advisers. Invited nations would receive various bonuses, while the hosting nation could chose among 3 factions (adm, dip, mil) to receive technology bonuses, or even maybe monarch points? This could also be tied to the westernization and give westernization points.

The idea is very rough, but I hope Paradox will change the current makeshift westernization to a better, more appealing and maybe realistic way than the current island-hopping to america.

What about 3 new diplomatic options about supporting military/admistrative/diplomatic advancement of another country.

To be able to support a country you need to be in a better tech group so even non western countries can support others development.

The supported country would be considered to be in the supporting country's tech group for that field so a western country that support military development of an eastern country will remove the 20% tech cost for military tech but not for the other 2 fields.
Also the supported country will consider the supporting country as a neighbour for the supporting field so you can get some decent neighbour bonus from it.

Supporting would also allow westernisation of that field.
Many other tech reductions such as protactorate and western arms trade will be removed, protacorate become just trade power for protection.
