I was inspired to ask these question thanks to a playthrough I finished a few days ago.
First one is if the Dutch Republic survived to this day, and was able too withstand the French invasions, and the moving of the banks powerbase to England. How would today's world e different, and how would the Dutch Republic today be.
Second question is a little more out there, but What if Peter I of Russia was so inspired by the Dutch and their republic that he pulled a William of Orange and turned Russia into a Dutch Republic style Republic, how would Russia be different, would there be the same troubles through its history, more troubles, less, or different, and how would Russia look today because of Peter's action?
Lastly, this is based of of my EU4 playthrough where I through Erbkaisertum I crated a Dutch Republic HRE. If the HRE was unified under the Dutch Republic, how would the now expanded Republic be structure, how would it best adapt. Would it have survived to this day, and how would Europe today look if this had happen?
Thanks all.
