i suppose they are the normal nobility ranks.

or something along these lines.

200 vp = count
300 vp = marquis
400 vp = duke
500 vp+ = regent.

I believe. There may be viscount at 200 vp (with the procession given above+100 vp, so regent at 600 vp).

I think Baronet's as low as you can go. In a game to see how long it would take to cripple Russia in 1775 (I think), I hit -5000 vps or so. Don't know about anything higher than that. I don't really pay attention to them.

So what exactly GETS you victory points? It always seemed kind of haphazard to me, unlike prestige in Victoria which was pretty straightforward.

Conquest, discovery, colonisation, some events and possibly research as well, not sure of that one. Since it does not have an impact on the game, unlike prestige in vicky, it does not really matter anyway.
