This Revolution Was Crushed achievement

Hi,

I'd like to finally obtain This Revolution Was Crushed achievement but so far I've seen an AI revolution once (when I had less then 200 hours and had no clue how to dismantle scary BBB). After 1500 hours more I've never seen revolution again.

Is there any reliable way how to trigger AI revolution so I can crush them for the achievement? Possibly without RNG as this achievement requires 264+ years played to get into age of revolutions.

The only thing I can advise is to select a neighbouring target, DOW on them during the Age of Revolution and keep them under occupation, demand reparations and take their prestige. You'll probably have to do it several times. That's the only option in my opinion. Also, the nation should somehow loose stability below 0. so you should probably try hunting their king/heir on the battlefield.

Every time I've seen an AI Revolution, it's been the Ottomans after I've squished them several times. My advice would be to find an AI nation that is big enough to take multiple wars to defeat and go ham on them - try to stackwipe all their armies, get them to 100% WS if you can. If you see the revolutionaries spawning while you're still in the war, take what you want. If not, white peace them so they keep their war exhaustion and watch the fireworks.

I've read on the wiki that France has their own unique event chain which makes them revolutionary, has anyone succeeded with that?

Yep, on 1.3 and I played as Malaya (wich means I wasn't envolved).

You can always get the achievement by becoming revolutionary yourself and then playing as a vassal and getting your independence.

Revolutionary France turned up in my Ethiopia campaign (1.22) last month. Otherwise I had never seen a revolutionary republic form on its own before that.

As long as there is a European nation with at least 30 provinces, it should be relatively straightforward to engineer the revolution disaster if you put your mind to it; maximize war exhaustion and peace out causing them to take loans, deprive them of trade income so that they get into a debt spiral, and so on.

Hasn't really thought of this, this looks like 100% reliable way how to do this.

Don't forget that the AI freaking LOVES to declare itself bankrupt. So if you grind their economy into the dirt they'll quickly collapse and have revolutionaries.
