Definitely this given that DH light has Armageddon-like gameplay only with better performance and less bugs.
Now you also get DH Full which has a totally different gameplay (new map, decisions, new scenarios..).

Maybe some would say I'm too biased to reply here, but actually I have the full right to do so as I took part in both Armageddon 1.3 patch development and in Darkest Hour, so here is my reply 
Definitely you should get Darkest Hour as it has all that Armageddon had plus many more!

It's one of two versions of DH that's available from the start. What version to play (and other things) can be chosen in a menu right before you start. The most popular mods can be downloaded from these forums and played as other versions.

ww2 is ok also, but we have ww2 all around .
