So there is about 24 hours inbetween. I wonder, if I were to tell the Reds (or send a messenger), would they know what went down? Funny how my conversion got the Reds the second meeting.
{{ You know what @Mach Twelve, I took a close look at the distance between Prince Islands and Konstantinoupolis and thought about it for a while and in the end I changed my mind - I will allow you to join the Red Meeting. This is a one-off exception due to the special circumstances and current situation with three meetings taking place in different locations and time, so don't expect this to happen again guys. In the future meetings will take place on the same day, so participating in more then one will be impossible.

That's not all - I also decided to allow unaffiliated Senators to participate in one Faction Meeting of their choosing. Without the right to vote or be elected of course but with the option to take part in discussion. I should have allow this earlier but I was trying to come up with some unaffiliated equivalent to Faction Meeting. Which didn't work out. So yes dear unaffiliated Senators - that is @GulMacet basically - you may show up on the Red Meeting or Blue Meeting.}}

Leon Taurinus

*The senator, still in his black robe and mask looks with curiosity at the new senator.
Leon had served in the Imperial army, fought against the menace of the Horde, and he was pleased to see the next senator to enter was by every indication a true soldier. He was curious, Este-Ravenna had a long history in the Reds, he would have to see what role Al-Askari would play for their faction. As he looks at the man he notices the look of disaproval and guesses it to be about Leon's attire. Addressing him in the usually slightly muffled voice*

"You'll have to regret my manner of dress good senator, the plague killed many of my House in the plague, including my father, for this reason I found it necessary to take precautions when returning to this city, still gripped by the plague.
But I can say I am happy to see the Emperor has chosen a good veteran like yourself to join the senate, there are too many greedy merchants and madmen running around the senate and few honest and good men. I trust you share our common concern that the Imperium must be revitalized and prepared to face the many enemies that are marshaling against us, enemies which I suspect you know very well."

Senator Alexandros Mandromenos

*Alexandros is approaching the Golden Gate. With him are not twenty-five but a full century of Spaniards, recent betrayals have left their mark, paranoia among them. The twenty-five from yesterday are dressed and armed in the same manner as yesterday, but the other seventy-five are much more modestly equipped. He arrives at the Tower. The rumors of the end of the White Meeting have spread far and wide, but he knows the truth may not be know to the Reds. He sees the other soldiers at the gates.*

Now, this is what proper protection looks like, unlike what those traitorous swine consider guards.

*He enters the room the meeting is taking place and takes a seat*

Welcome, fellow senators. I hope we will be good brothers and support another in these troublesome times, unlike a certain five I can name.

Senator Zeno Urbicus Mojmirid

Zeno was a thin man, in spite of his thin frame Zeno boasted a well toned body from years of travel and hunting. Unlike many of his fellow senators, Zeno's garb was a simple white toga worn by dignitaries and senators from the ancient Greek times. A belt, adorned with gold laurel leaves, was tied around his waist. His darkened skin might have been once a peach white, but years under the hot Levant sun had changed that. As he stepped into the tower John followed in close behind, a satchel slung around his shoulder.

"Dear Senators, I do apologize for my tardiness. The seas were a fair bit rougher than I had expected. Ah where are my manners, I am Zeno, last son of Quintus, of the Mojmirid dynasty. I only wish we could have met in a more pleasant time. Senator Alexios, I believe? I have heard tales of your exploits on the field of battle."

Zeno extended his hand in the proper Roman greeting. After greeting Senator Alexios, Zeno noticed a man, covered head to toe in black.

"Again I feel I must apologize, I did not notice you behind Senator Alexios, and unfortunately I do not recognize you."

Before the man in black could answer Zeno's eyes fell up on Senator Alexandros. After taking a step back in shock Zeno regained his composure and bowed deeply to the elderly senator.

"Had I know we would have been in such esteemed company I would have brought my silk toga. It is an honor to make your acquaintance Senator Alexandros."

Turning back, Zeno addressed the senator in black. "I do apologize for cutting you off. If I may be so rude, what is your name?"

Senator Alexios Este-Ravenna:

In chaos there is opportunity.

"Welcome senator Alexandros, though I do inquire as to why a white-"

he considers his words, and the size of the man's escort-

"
former white Deme has entered our illustrious meeting? What news of your old faction? Why did you depart in such haste? I presume the rumors as to another purge are false, but what then truly became of the Whites?"

Who was to say that this man would not turn against them? Unless his reasons were impeccable- and perhaps even then- Alexios would nly look upon him as a man of great ambition and fickle loyalties.

Senator Honorius Scipion:

*A dark and tall figure, covered by a dark blue cloak dismounted in front of the large and old wall. Many centuries have passed since the last time than an enemy tried to take such walls...with known success every time they tried. But how was going Theodosius, his successors in the Imperial Throne or any one of their architects even suspect that it would be the own people of Rome who would take the walls? These are dark times; and dark times require of dark measures. Honorius hopes that military tradition and honor did not stop his colleagues from doing what is necessary; duty is over traditions and even honor if required. We the Reds have the duty of defend the Imperium from all its enemies, foreigners or locals...

Honorius walked to the front door of the tower and realized of the great quantity of men present in the place. There are a few but, in appearance, capable guards with the symbols of the Al-Askari house. Some men from Mandromenos´? There are also a few dozens of Este-Ravenna men, a good house this one, old allies of the Scipion house in the leadership of the reds. And, of course, there are many Imperial soldiers. It seems that valor is not so common in these days as in the old days, if only one senator f the Imperial Army demes dares to come this meeting alone. Or perhaps Honorius has gone definitely crazy after so many "missions" behind enemy lines. Who knows?

Honorius get off the hood as he approached to dekarchos Timotheos. As soon as he recognized him and salute in the old roman fashion, Honorius give back the salute and began climbing the stairs. There are some sounds coming out from the room, but he also can understand some greetings and salutes what seems to suggest him that the meeting has just started.

"Ave my dear Senators. Its good to see this demonstration of force from our demes. Now that I have finally arrived to the meeting from Spain, I can finally feel safe between my equals.

My name is Honorius, younger son of Aetius Scipion, and I hope that this day marks the beginning of the end of these dark times and the beginning of a new golden age for the Imperium!!!

It is simple dear Ravenna. The Whites have given in to Madness and Treason. As a TRUE, LOYAL Roman, I decided to leave the meeting early and abandon their heretic cause. The Whites have not be purged, at least not yet. As far as I know, they are alive and well, unfortunately. I have come here to get support to change that. The leading faction are Enemies to the Throne and will need to be dealt with as such. I thought that with the Whites I would guide the Imperium to peace and prosperity, but I was sadly mistaken. As a former Army Officer, I have come here to aid the Imperium in another way. However, there is one thing I would like to do first. Search the room, every cup, every crack, every crevice. The seed of madness was hidden in the meeting room of the Whites and I will not let it happen to the True Sons of Rome.

Senator Alexios of the Este-Ravenna:

His frown deepens. If this is a game, its rules are bizarre beyond imaginings. "Accusations of treason are not to be made lightly, Senator Mandromenos. And what, pray tell, is this 'seed of madness' you mention?" he begins drily. "Are we to waste time searching for a shadow rather than discussing the state of the Imperium? There are enough challenges as it is."

Senator Alexandros Mandromenos

This seed of madness is a letter, placed in the room before anyone arrived. I remind you the Blues claimed something similar twenty years ago. It was found when Ouranos knocked a cup over. We must ensure one of the same isn't here. Instead of turning the missive over to the President like a true Roman, the fool di Capponi opened it, and the secret message within drove the Whites mad. Their unwillingness to work with the proper authorities was nothing short of betrayal. If we find one such letter here, we must not make the same mistake.

Dekarchos Timotheos Kyzos

*Heavy door to the chamber opens and dekarchos Kyzos enters the room*

Salve, illustrious ones. Your servants have arrived.

*Three slaves enter the room, each of them carrying chalices, silver plates with food and wooden jugs filled with wine and water. The meals look decent but it takes only a glance to know that they are a far cry from the food normally served to the nobles like you. In fact, they remind you more of a soldier's rations.*

Noble Senators, as per the order of Droungarios of the Watch, who is responsible for the safety of the Walls, your men-at-arms have been removed from the courtyard of the Golden Gate and escorted beyond the outer fortifications to the main camp where they will await you.

*Dekarchos salutes the Senators*

The Angeloi protect!

*Dekarchos leaves the room*

Senator Alexios Este-Ravenna:

Many in his family looked down upon the non-Romans. Many of his peers were fools. A man was a man, and he bled the same no matter what blood flowed through his veins. Alexios eyes the new arrival warily, like two mutts meeting in a dark alleyway, taking his measure even as he knows the stranger is doing to him. He finds that he likes what he sees; foreign dog or not, this man is a soldier, albeit one given over to fat, and Alexios knew much of soldiers.

"It is not often I find myself the shorter man, still less the smaller. I am Alexios of the ancient and noble House of Este-Ravenna" He offers his hand in a firm and manly grip.

Senator Harun Al-Askari

Harun took Alexios's hand, and the implied challenge with it. As two powerful men do, each tried to crush the other, smiling at one another. After a few moments, satisfied with his opponent's strength, Harun released Alexios. The man's hand bore the calluses of a soldier, more than could be asked of the average noble. He was satisfied.

"To those who have just arrived, I am Harun, of the considerably less ancient house of Al-Askari"

"Quite understandable Senator. I myself lost several children and two of my wiv-" he clears his throat suddenly, "Excuse me, two of my mistresses to the plague. And yes indeed I share our cause, else I would be debating philosophy on the Princes' Isles, or whatever the Whites do there."

Harun took an immediate dislike to Mandromenos. With the average man in the Imperium having spent at least some time in the army, a military record or war wound was hardly something to boast about. Yet the man in front of him had specifically modified his dress just to show off a scar, the likes of which Harun had a dozen. Then there was the matter of wasting a hundred Imperial troops to babysit him while he was running errands.

"Greetings, Senator. I'm pleased to see another join our-" he broke off. "My god man, what happened to your tunic? Were you attacked on the way here? Let me get somebody to bring you a new one, or else I'm sure one of your men outside has a spare that you could wear"

Our troops have been removed? This food is not the quality the Whites had. I am deeply concerned about this. This is not equal treatment of the Demes. The Whites must be behind this. Eat not of the Food, Drink not of the Wine. Search it for suspicious objects.
