Ooh, the possibilities that video brings to mind...
On a different thought, are you planning on using the Random New World feature?

I wanted to but it horribly messes up with converted game and forces me to manually assign provinces, which means there is no surprise for me because to do this I have to make the whole map visible. So in short: no.Ooh, the possibilities that video brings to mind...

2. Are you planning on altering the nations that have not appeared yet, like China, Japan, or the others in the New World? I'm just thinking if you leave them as they are, the Aztecs might rule all of the New World by the time you get there, and the Mongols might dominate the Far East.
Thanks!Lovely dev diary.
+1. History, with Aztecs ruling the seas and Inca inventing fire arms, can not be the same.
What if the mysterious travels of the Treasure Fleet, led by Zheng He, didn't stop in Africa? What if, after they arrived to Roman shores, heard of the xenoi and wanted to know more about them? I can only imagine one epic thing: A massive naval battle between the Aztecs and Chinese!
Czoklet, I know that you are dealing with a lot of work with this AAR and this "mod" (yeah, we can call it mod), but if the Aztecs invaded Europe, everything is different. Maybe, at 1444, the Ming dinasty was in trouble. But a common enemy leads to unity of people. Fear is a tool that many leaders use to manage their countries. What could be the role of China in this mad world?
Yeah, it's a shame but it wouldn't work really great I fear.Ah, I didn't realize using the Random New World feature would cause so much trouble (just bought EU4, to carry on my own games, make Japan a superpower, and possibly be helpful in the Senate). I thought it would be a cool surprise, but if it messes things up so much I can completely understand not doing it.
Thank you very much, I'll respond to it ASAP.A gread dev diary!
Seriously, you should be a writer- everything you write is interesting.
Btw, I sent my application. Looking forward to the interactivicy.
Thanks!
Oh yeah. That picture... oh, the Warhammer 40K puns.
Thanks! Well, they are supposed to be the highly advanced race with minimal grimdark so it may sense.this hsa been a delightful read. I also wanted to say that this looks, aesthetically, much more like future humanity would normally than WArhammer. Interesting.
Thank your for your application!sent in the email with my application to be one of the senators.
All hail the Imperium!
Also enjoying the notes for the countries, especially the strangeness that is Mali
Though I hope you don't nerf yourself too much, as much fun as it is to see the eternal struggle I think it would be rather unfair if you made the whole world instantly align against you and burn the light of civilization down in year one (not to mention not as fun).
Regardless, looking forward to this
So say we all!I can't wait for this epic showdown to start!! LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR!! LONG LIVE THE IMPERIUM!!
THE ANGELOI PROTECT!!!
Perhaps you remember that when Sweden was destroyed, a small number of Norse (Scandinavians) was saved by the Imperium and found refuge in Konstantinoupolis. So yes, I would allow House of Norse (Scandinavian) origin - if your story convinces me how could this happenI would like some clarification for the rule. You MAY NOT create characters who are pagan, Catholic or of a culture/nationality that doesn't exist within the Imperium.
Does this rule rule out minor houses of Scandinavian culture? (orthodox ofc) My reasoning for thinking it should allowed was that the varangian guard has to get its recruits from somewhere, and with their homeland occupied it seems unlikely that they come from there.
Thanks, except my answer soon!Application sent, I just hope it's okay. House Muzaka is real mess.
Thanks!Interesting. I'll second what others have said, that your tweaks so far seem very sensible for bringing the EU IV game closer to the CK II circumstances.
So... China as the Tau, an ally against the Xenoi. An ally to be betrayed as soon as the situation allows, I take it.
Assuming your speculation is correct... Two great powers with a common goals which could flourish if they engage in peaceful trade and close diplomatic relations turn against each other, blinded by hatred and ignorance, and during series of terrible wars weaken themselves greatly while the Enemy approaches. It can't get more grimdark than this, can it?The problem from a gamplay POV, is that China will be more prone to be against us that against the Xenoi if Czoklet gives the same situation. Maybe giving outposts in America dating from Zheng He and exploration as ideas could be a way to have a more interesting America
Lol.the angeloi porntech
Remember, you can join at any moment. "The Serpents of the Nile Part 2 - The Continued Tales of the Egypto-Norse " were a great read and I hope I'll deliver AAR (at least) as goodI had much the same idea as one of the houses so I won't be sending an application but I'm really looking forward to this AAR and hopeing it carrys on much like how the snakes of the nile was able to do.
