Hi people :) I wanna to buy a new paradox Game,and I see the For the glory trailer,and the game seen so much promissing,so I wanna to know: If I buy this game,will be a good investiment? :blush:

Have you played Europa Univeralis II? It's really great if you like that. It's still my favorite of EU series (note: I haven't played IV) Quite different compared to EU3. Much better events, in my opinion.

I will not buy EU4,but I like EU3 so much :p the main problem that I see in FTG is the lack of provinces

New greater maps are under development (like Plus Vltra or WATK 4), so I think the lack of provinces is not that big problem :p

As @eleinvisible says, if you like EU2 you will enjoy For the Glory as well.

IMHO the number of provinces in this game is quite adequate. There aren't too few nor too many, and their quantity is very well balanced with the game's overall pace, if you get what I mean.

By buying it you'll also have access to the coolest avatars in the PI fora :cool: .

Definitely recommended!

Ok :) You convinced me :D I will buy For The glory :D and Maybe write and AAR with China :D

China of all countries... You'll be spending half of the game killing massive rebel stacks :p

Oh oh,I have heard that EUII rebels are even WORSE than the EU3 ones,this are true?

I've played neither of those games, but I can at least tell you they ARE strong.

BTW, you need to download all the patches after you get the game.

There is, however, a simple way to make them weaker.

Just go to \db\countries.txt and modifiy the land value for Rebels to whatever suits your tastes:

Code:
REB = { #Rebels - reserved
        leader_language = REB
	gfx = {
		army = REB
	}
	policy = {
		land = 10
	}

I'd suggest 8 (or 7, at the lowest) in order not to turn them into a pushover, though.

Ok,and National Decisions?Are present? :) I can Take Mongol Khanate,Smash Mings and Restore Yuan China? :D

There's is not a decisions menu like in DH or EU3, but if the events are there it can still happen. But I don't think any mod has that particular chain.

You don't have national decisions in the EU3 sense but events to restore the Yuan dynasty can easily be written. There's even a Yuan tag in place, complete with shields and flag.

Ok,I will have the money next Thursday,until there,you can write an event to let the Monghol Khanate Restore the Yuan dynasty if they take Beijing and more 20 provinces in China region?

I can do it, though it would probably be better to do this for Plvs Vltra, where the situation is as follows:

Done. Once you have the game and the mod, open the mod's folder and paste this in the Mongolia events file (Mods\Plvs_Vltra\Events)

Code:
#(1419-1819) Mongol conquest of China

Once you do that download this and paste countries.csv in the Localization folder, the flag in Gfx\Map\Flags, the shield in Gfx\Map\Shields, and countries.txt in the Db folder. Finally, you have to copy the monarchs_mga file in Db\Monarchs and change the mga to yua, then you can edit the monarchs if you want to.

You need to control 20 of these provinces:

bZqd7pE.jpg

You'll get Han as an accepted culture, change your religion to Confucian (Pagan is terrible and Chinese influence would probably overtaken the Mongols anyways) and claim in all those provinces + Hainan and Taiwan.
Note that claims in FtG are different from those in DH, here they grant you an income bonus IIRC, and in 30 years they become full cores.

When I triggered the event and I annexed China I kept all their troops, that should not happen :wacko:

Thank you,and remember: Yuan China is the best China

EDIT:Can I suggest one more thing?If I create Yuan China,do not let the Mings just be annexed,because I wanna to personally annex the false Emperor by myself

Thanks :) the Yuan Emperor is happy with this :D
