This game needs a rework on peace deals.

I'm playing as Sweden at the moment, trying to get a few achievements. Notably the Northern Light achievement to have all nordic countries in a faction with eachother.. Everything was going swimmingly, I was able to take Norway and Denmark without any outside intervention, but WWII started before I could get Finland. I joined the Axis and declared war on them anyway, they joined Japans faction and myself and Germany worked our way through the Soviet Union to fight Japan. I naval invaded Japan and capitulated her, and to my utter fucking dismay Germany puppets Finland and over half of it's territory (OCCUPIED + Cored by me already).

What kind of sweet aids is this.. my only hope now is to wait until there is a collab government and hope to Christ that works! Things like this need to be fixed, I can't fight Germany now that he has all of the USSR, took all of Britain from me after MY invasion of the UK, frustrating. I did all the work and got fucked out of my reward.

What was your warscore contribution? And did you spend any of it anywhere else?

Fascist AI is usually very self-serving and will screw over their allies. It's usually a bad idea to join a faction if you're just trying to snipe a few key territories because taking provinces that are occupied by faction members is a lot cheaper than if it's occupied by someone else.

Would have been much, much cooler if Iceland was finally fixed as elligible to form Nordic Leageu (bugged code, fixable in 2 seconds) and you'd have done the same thing, only to get pushed back to your home volcano.

Peace Conference mechanics are one of the biggest sources of player rage in this game, and have been in dire need of a re-work since launch. When not doing achievements, the mod "Player-Led Peace Conferences" is a must-have. When doing achievements, expect a few gray hairs from stress.

I will say that when I did Northern Light, I managed to invite Finland during the Winter War (I'd boosted fascism for years and improved relations a bunch) and kept them from capitulating until Germany declared on the USSR. The hard part was keeping Germany from declaring on my Danish and Norwegian puppets beforehand...
