Ah yes, linking me to your only losses as I am the responsible party. I must also only be a fanboy since I point out that you are rude to people in the game and on the forums the same way. All really good points you have made.

We tried to even invite you to play with our group, in game chat, within the last two weeks that you've been really vocal. My K : D is almost always above 2.5:1, most games it's 4.5:1 since we are now measuring sizes.

I will digress though, you could still come and try to manage a good time with the game in a semi-organized group instead of emotionally shit-posting about how mad you are and how bad everyone is.

+1 to roirraw's statements. Stop the moaning when solutions are being offered.

And oh ok, you leave when things turn bad for your teammates? You are literally a contributing factor to the toxicity which surrounds 10vs10 game-play.

Stick it through to the end, win or lose. We have turned around many 'lost' games by playing to the buzzer, regardless of Conquest/Destruction.

Those are the most satisfying wins imo.

Excuse me when your team is staying in spawn with support units and you are getting no reaction from pings or msg And losing by thousands of points with the ennemy having also more ressouces income in destruction then im saving myself 20 minutes of phase C where it's not possible to turn things back in certain situations like when ennemy owns factories completely and a whole flank etc.

The surrender option is there and the bot takes over while I go wait for another 10v10 game. I left a game at start yesterday the whole middle of the map was empty at spawn. Asked for support when there was 1 min left for launch and got ignored and one player said I cant. I left immediatly.

And? There are 40 minutes in a game. Sure you are forced to sacrifice ground in that initial A-phase (which is almost irrelevant in phase A if its Destruction), but that means your team possesses a numerical advantage against at least 1 opponent somewhere else on the map.

Exploit that advantage, your outlook is very doom and gloom in regards to seeing the 'front-line' bend towards your side. And if someone goes ballzdeep into your side of the map, they literally just gave you the perfect cut-off/encirclement opportunity (most players do not protect their supply routes or crossroads if they made a 1600-2000m push that early).

Patience is a virtue, just not one you possess apparently.

Nah the solution is simple. Clans and voice chat. Other games are miles ahead of SD in that domain. Might have not lost 2000 active players id it did. This is not poker it's a wargame that lasts 40 minutes ish and there is no room for patience.

Company of Heroes 2 has neither of those things, and was also infinitely worse in balance terms upon release, yet still got far more active players. Player retention is more about marketability and diversity of gameplay.

Now while those two things you mentioned are nice (although I shudder to think what this toxic playerbase will do with a VOIP), they aren't what's holding this game back, this isn't counterstrike per say.

Coh 2 is just another franchise milking pos by relic. Relic has not done a good rts since coh. Probably more coh/mod players than this game. It is more micro oriented and the community is just as bad and elitist as this game. Basically it's mostly org vs pug. Both coh games are old and went on sale multiple times but they both feel like abandonware with dlc milking for the second. The engines and optimisations are awful.

There's a lot holding this game. This is what you get when retail is the actual beta

This micro stuff just comes with people being better in RTS games than they were 10-15 years ago. You can also micro the shit out of Coh1 or games like Aoe2. But nower days you have to if you wanna compete with the good players. Also Coh2 dlcs are quite pick and came in long intverals so its not like those are milking the community. If something in coh2 is doing it than it is the shitty ingame shop. Still the Interface is good enough to make it a popular game even though balance is much worse than SDs one and also the variaty isnt as big (even though it looks big in the first place). Still the thing that made Coh2 so famous for me is the good marketing and the epic looking art style. The battle animations look more like hollywood movie than a realistic game.

Right, getting onto discord with your friends is really difficult. Unless you want the VoIP to communicate with randoms, in which case "*snort*, good one!".

Well obviously he wants it to communicate with people he does not know, and not his friends... cmon...

If csgo works with voicechat I do not see why SD44 would not.

And remember, noone is forcing you to use or even activate it.

And? if noone uses it there is no loss, if noone activates it/ everyone just always mute everyone, who cares? Also I am quite convinced that the SD community is a lot more mature/ less cunts then csgo voicechat has.

Dunno, I have not played RTS other then WG and SD for about 4 years.

Show me one other non-basebuilding RTS-game where you can zoom all the way out and still effectivly manage your units and which does not rely on an insane amount of micro.

Still it isnt THE thing that will save the game and it needs some time to be implemented. Also games like LoL, Dota 2 or sc2 can run with out it so it seems like it isnt that much harm to dont have one. I would say effective pings would be much more helpfull.

And remember, noone is forcing you to use or even activate it.

The problem is not really whether you are forced to use it or not, I just think it is nowhere near worth the amount of development resources it would consume, just so the total of 3 or 4 players in this community that would use voice chat in a pub match for anything other than insults and trolling can tickle a tiny bit more enjoyment out of the game. There are plenty of other things that could be improved about this game that would benefit a bigger percentage of the playerbase.
