i see that the ppl disagree with Galicia.
I have done it 3 times in the row just like that:
1 ) wait for holy war for galicia
2) wait before enemy will siege a bit to loose some troops
3) hire mercs ( preferably 1,9 k but pikes are good too)
4) move right don`t attach them to aegir army as long as help from north wouldn`t come ( otherwise they will attack stupidly and loose)
5) act according to situation
6) disattach to discourage ai attach when opposite
7) when u won a war fabricate claim on this county
8) gather money to get 3 k merc ( or 1,9 k depends on situation in africa)
9) make blitz war....and holy war all small countries

What is a big deal in it?

10 years old children can do that without any problems so why do the ppl say that galicia is problematic?

In Africa there are so many religions that is is so stupidly easy to crash everything with just mercs.

Okay. But you still depend on the RNG when fabricating claims. You were lucky to pull it off 3 times in a row.
u have 10-15 years to fabricate claim......
U can easily get 20 skill char for a gift + favor. With 20 % chance per year it is not luck.

Also u can just help in next holy war than u have like 25 years.

if u think like that u can loose any battle. It is enough to get all the time bad tactics when u have like 5 % to fire them. Also possible

I don't know why you're getting so many disagrees. You are 100% right, it is not a particularly difficult start. You've even given them a how to and they still won't believe you. I did it differently but I still managed it on about my 3rd try a while ago and given your new method it'd be even easier to go back and do it again.

I still think there is some merit in what people are saying. That any game becomes fairly easy once you know the mechanics as well as you clearly do. I do also agree that EUIV seems to do a better job of having trade-offs so that expansion is less of a no-brainer.

There's still a lot to like in CK once you have reached this level of skill. What most people do is play based on their own rules. Also, remember that a WC is not a win condition. Pointing out that it's easy to WC is factually correct but it doesn't change the fact that a WC is not the end state of the game and so how hard it is to get there is only one of a number of factors being balanced in development.

Fabricate a claim against who? Not the Ummayad right? Why do that if you can just holy war him.
If you bothered reading the post you would see he is talking about hitting the OPMs in North Africa to achieve rapid expansion. These are out of HW range and as Aries666 points out a county claim will avoid coreligionists joining the defender.

Either he is lucky or just flat out lying about what he is saying and just wants a reaction. there is no way he got three claims in a roll unless Rng was really on his side. Which for the amount of hours I have played is never the case. Sometimes you wait a short time and sometimes you wait many years for a claim.

I challege the Op to play as a count as a christian in a Muslim nation and see how long he lasts. ( Customized the ruler so he is christian in Muslim control lands )

True masochists start as a Zoroastrian count under the Abbasids in the 769 start :D

I think you really underestimate how far min/maxing can get you in this game.

The biggest problem I have with CK is how strong large countries are. I enjoy the game, and have played as all sorts of nations. But once you get up to the size of 2-3 kingdoms you can literally engage in one constant war and conquer the rest of the world without pausing. I keep going back to EU because at least it has some mechanics that act as a speed limit on your conquest.
