It may well be Bull. We often need a player or two. But it is King John who decides.

Be in vnet at 22.30 CET summertime (which is in 30 minutes from this post and is GMT+1 if both have summer time) and remember that Russia is by far the strongest nation and needs to be taken down. Incidentally SPA + GER are right now in the process of doing this. They have generously offered their services to the players in this campaign.

I believe you will be ENG or FRA if you are given a chance to play along with us

I am quite sure there is place for you tonight. We always seem to miss a nation or two. Be in vnet at 22.30 or wait for King John to say YES or NO here in the game thread. But since he is American he is at sleep right now.

We badly need a perm in ENG as well as in FRA I believe, at least ENG.

KJ wrote some time ago (the previous week) that he could not run Zeit´s program. He asked for help from us. No one of us, AFAIK, has tried and succeeded in running the program (I myself have not even tried) and Zeit has not posted and said he fixed at least the previous week's orders.

Looks bad.

I didn't see that post, but I'll check in later to see what's wrong. Unfortunately I don't have time now, as I have a meeting and an interview today, so I probably won't be available until after the game starts.

Specifically what are the problems?

Get the Perl command line interpreter from www.activeperl.com

you should then be able to type perl PPEdit.pl from the TFG directory.

admin.txt holds some important information such as host info from the last session

points.txt holds information about the points at the end of the last session (after the last PPEdit) and is used in PPCalc and modified in PPEdit. I realize this is a bit clunky, so I'll modify it when I get time.

instructions.txt holds the instructions. just c&p the things people post pretty much and check them for any errors.

specifically what error are you getting, john?
