Yeah...I'll at least be on time so need to threaten me with Von Diplomacy ;) . I was wondering if we could get somekind of rundown on how military tradition works. I understand that warring increases your chances of getting better generals, but how exactly is the whole thing worked. What kind of number are the generals limited to 4-4-4 or what ? I'm guessing there are also random admirals, but are they generated just from naval battle experience ? Is the "War experience" pooled and from there leaders are generated ? If so do we have a say in what kind of leaders we get or is that calculated separatly ? I'm sorry, but with search disabled I can't find anything on it and would like to know abit more about this feature of the game.

Another thing is the numbers for the P&P system, any chance of getting to see how it generates the points so I can try to make the system work for me. F.ex. you mention that you get less and less points as the war progresses, but how many points do you get ? Is there a drop-off point ? Do you get as many points for fighting early-game Human BB as for fighting late-game human Russia ?

By the way I like how you edited the 1st. post. It's looking very sharp. Hopefully we will be able to give such an proffessional template the serious commitment it deserves.

Anyways, enough sucking up and on with the show. I just dl'ed the scenario we will be playing. I noticed that the production across Europe has been drastically altered. there is no gold and there are far more low-value goods than high-level goods. It seems I have lost loads of Iron and Cloth for Grain, fish and sheep. This also goes for the rest of Europe. Is this right, because when you were recruiting you made no mention of drastically changing goods of Europe ?

MT is very very complicated. I can't explain you how exactly it works  But belive me it is editing leaders properly - more wars you fight, better leaders you get.

Longer war = more Power points

Each declaration of war means 3 Power points

Soon I will post all points so you can see how it works.

Come on, it is just few colours, nothing special.

It is all implemented in Ryo Balanced 1492 scenario, I did not changed goods. The only things I edited was tech groups, cash and land slider.

Yeah sry about that long post of mine. It seems the P&P system is pretty well explained in the first post. While I had read the points listing I hadn't read the example you gave. So it has been pretty much explained. I'd still like to hear how the points we get in MT are spent, but of course experience is the best teacher and I'm looking forward to friday's lesson. ;)

Anyways, you are quite correct about the goods. They are all ******'s changes, don't get why I didn'y catch that sooner. In my defense though I have just played it once before.

i changed my mind. i realized that this scen isnt designed for non-europeans nations. only possibility to take part here would be venice or denmark, but that would annoy the others a bit who already had plans for it.
so take it easy and of course have fun! :)

Its a pity about you 2, but it doesn't really come as a surprise. Ryo's scenario is pretty Euro-centric. What if we switched to PE's 1492, it doesn't have the boosts that Ryo's has and thereby makes the rest of the world more competetive. Besides with these massive tax incomes attrition becomes far of a less problem. As far as I know it wil also be hard to land yourself on the wrong side on the tech curve, meaning faster teching and paradise for hypertechers. Besides base 10 tax Kalmuk and Kouban is just wacked. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to give the examples Hal, sorry for the inconveniance. The numbers certainly show that the better MT, the better leaders. At least the average's ;) it would have been nice if the examples would also have shown the leaders created. :p It seems it creates a host of leaders from the MT points and somehow creates the leaders from them, or does it randomly chose from the already created pool of leaders ? Are the leaders capped in any way ? F.ex. would it be possible for example 1(China) to actually generate leader nr.5 = Maneuver 6 Fire: 4 Shock: 5 Siege : 4. The key fact though seems to be to keep at least MT:12.5, because that will give you 4 leaders. It would be nice if you could say what exactly the cut-off point is, for generating 4 leaders instead of 2.

I'd like to say that I did try to search for these on my own. I travelled a year back on the forum systematically going trough all threads on the EU2 forum and the "Scenario" and "EU2 MP" subforums. I came up with nothing, I know your probably using some variant of Ryo's or Iron John's MT system, but without knowing what leader-generator you are using its pointless. I assume you are not using Tonioz's, and also assuming that it is something made by either Zeit or Shigura. Unfortunatly since this is an old game, I simple don't have the time to go back years in search. Hopefully I'm not frustrating you beyond controll, but its just my inquisitve nature. :D Anyways if you don't know or its too much to be bothered with just tell me to shut up.

P.S. Does it also create explorers and conquistadors ? If so, do we have to specifically ask for them or is there some random chance they will appear. ?
