French Army surrendered but remaining BEF troops are still resisting. There are 8 British divisions left in France. They were ordered by British government to fight until all their ammunition run out.
Due to mountainous terrain of Norway, Fuhrer ordered Narvik to be taken by amphibious landing. Busch's infantry divisions are given the task.
Fuhrer announced annexation of Luxemburg to the German Reich.

Today, Dutch government capitulated under threat of bombing of major Dutch cities. General Winkelmann signed the Dutch capitulation. However, Dutch government in exile stated its determination to continue the war from overseas territories.

Landing at Narvik has begun without any Norweigan resistance.

Today, Lithuania is declared as one of the Soviet Socialist Republics.
All BEF forces in France surrendered today. 5 divisions surrendered near Dunkirk and 8 divisions surrendered in Chartres and Falaise. Battle of France costed Britain 130.000 men.

Narvik falls. Norweigan government decided to sign capitulation agreement.

Following the defeat of France, Fuhrer began to reorganize the invaded territories. Occupied French territories will be under direct military rule. Netherlands will be ruled by Reichcommisariat Netherlands. Fuhrer appointed Seyys-Inquart as Reichcommissar. Belgium and part of Northern-France will be ruled by Reichcommissariat Belgium-Northern France. Von Falkenhausen will be Reichcommissar of this region. Norway will be ruler by Reichcommissariat Norway. Fuhrer appointed Jozef Terboven as Reichcommissar of this region. Aim of all reichkommissars are specified as to pacify the resistance and to maximize benefits to German War effort from their regions.
Fuhrer issued general orders regarding the future of the war after French defeat. Fuhrer's orders :
1) All 18 garrison divisions protecting the Sigfried Line should be deployed through the Atlantic and the Channel coasts in order to prevent possible landings.
2) Bulk of the Army should be sent to Soviet border to secure our borders and to curb Soviet expansionist dreams in the region.
3) U-boats which are anchored in Hamburg dockyard since the beginning of the war should move to submarine bases in La Rochelle and should wait for further orders from Fuhrer.
4) Britain is determined to continue the war. We have to force Britain to make peace thus I want Luftwaffe bomber and fighter formations to be based at Cherbourg and Paris airfields for operations against Britain.
5) OKW should prepare invasion plans for Britain (codenamed as Operation Sealion) and submit these plans to me immediately.
6) With Paris in our hands, our influence in the Eastern Europe is irresistable. Germany became the master of Europe. Foreign Ministry should increase its efforts to persuade Hungary, Yugoslavia, Romania and Bulgaria to join the Axis Powers.

Luftwaffe fighters are slowly being replaced by new Fw-190 model. First 4 Fw-190 squadrons were given to Klepke.

Economical situation of the Reich. We have 300.000 reserves left. We can increase the number of our reserves by drawing labor from less-important industries but Fuhrer doesn't want to hamper German economy by enacting general mobilization yet. Our fuel reserves are important concern to us. Fuhrer ordered the fuel stockpile to be increased.
With the capture of Narvik, we can again import Swedish iron ore which is vital for our war industry.

Today, Fuhrer visited Paris.
