So I'm fighting in my ally's war and trying to hurry up and help him win so I can move my capital (can't move while at war). I send an army of about 3k up to help him with a siege. I recently watched a youtube video that said to always have commanders for your army if possible so while the army is enroute I notice there's only one commander. I try to add commanders for the other 2 flanks and notice I only have two other available possible commanders, one of which is my king. He's only got a 4 martial ability so I assign him a flank and figure maybe he'll learn something! We win the siege ok and I move my army to attack a smaller enemy unit. During the battle my king gets bonked on the head and goes down and is unresponsive! He's now infirm and gets a regent. Great! He's only 43 with nice stats and was set up pretty good for a long reign. I leave the army in the battle and start looking at my heir and thinking about him taking over. My army wins so I move it towards another siege but run into another enemy unit of slightly higher strength. A few seconds into this next battle I get a message that my king was wounded! LOL what? I thought he was infirm and had already been sent back home. Oh well, the battle is not going well and looks like it's going to be a loss. Sure enough a few seconds later I lose the battle and boom!! My king was captured by the enemy king! LOL Now he's in jail, infirm and wounded!! All within about 5 minutes of gameplay. Of course a couple months later the war is still going on and my poor king dies in the enemy dungeon. Shouldn't he have been sent back home immediately when he went infirm? I assumed so but oh well. Of course I'm probably the only idiot around who sends a king into battle with a 4 martial abiltity lol!!
