I don't want to see 'border dispute' or 'claim on rivals', or anything else that gives random cores on bordering provinces. It's not fun to be maintaining a friendship with a nation, when suddenly they have a core on your province and want to invade. It doesn't make much historical sense either, except perhaps in colonial territory.

I don't want to have random nation joining the HRE because the emporor liberated them from neighbors. At least the electorate should have some say in the matter. And the electorate should not be so easily changed because even in the other timeline only two electors ever got exchanged which were Saxonia(title changed between the two lines of House Wettin) during the Schmalkadian War and the Palatinate as it was loosing it electoral vote during the 30 years war to Bavaria. Like in real life at some points powerful states should be able to achieve a vote (real life Hessen-Kassel and Hannover).

While I personally like these events, your complaint is perfectly valid, that would suck. However, for awhile now, I'm pretty sure relationship caps have been put in for these events. They dont trigger between nations friendly to each other.

I also like those events. They are fun and sometimes when I am waiting for a valid CB they can be a great excuse for a fun war. I think you may be right about the relationship cap. In my recent Denmark game I kept good relations with all my neighbours except the TO (most of the time). Twice the event struck, first it was only on TO. Secondly it was only on TO and Nov (I recently went into a indirect war with them and relations drops just below 0).

I don't want the spy satelites which tell me exactly to the day when an army will arrive in a province, the strengths and weaknesses of nations I have not even encountered yet (the ledger) or ships that sail up a coastline and give me an exact figure for the strength of an army in the province.

Or at least please give me a game option to add greater fog of war as I know that it is not to everyones taste.

Pirate spam. Sooooooooooo annoying that I wish I could just turn it off, results in endless whack-a-mole which is precisely zero fun. I eventually just give up fighting the pirates because it's too much work. Either get rid of it or abstract it somehow.

I agree, though what happened with the electorate of Saxony, which changed between the different lines of the house of Wettin; actually what happened with the electoral vote of the Palatinate going to Bavaria was something similar, since both (though more distant by then) were a branch of the house of Wittelsbach.
Finally after the 30 yrs war a new electorate was created for the Palatinate, however after both electorates ended up in the same hands they were merged, since no individual could hold two votes.

I agree that powerful member states should able to strife for a spot in the electoral college; this should be easier if the electoral college has less than 7 members, your dynasty doesn't already have an electoral vote (Palatinate & Bavaria was an exception) and the religious balance between the worldly (so not Mainz, Köln and Trier) electoral princes changes (might be hardest to implement).

In fact, I don't want to see Cornwall and Northumbria in EUIV.
Also, I don't want to see England taking all her troops to the colonies, allowing everyone and their dog to invade the Home Islands with no problems. The island-based AI's should protect their islands.

I dont want to see a streamlined shell of EUs former self designed for the nub who likes to play each game he owns for no more than 5 minutes and expects to be a pro at it. i have seen this happen to far to many games RPGs are a big area for degeneration into simplicity and i hope that eu dosnt go the same way though every game seems to these days so they can make more money at the expense of a games integrity.

Agreed!!! Please Paradox take note on that, oh please. I lost my civ passion to that abomination called Streamlined gameplay.

I don't want a game where Europe out-develops everyone else "just because", but one that simulates European ascendancy properly ;)

Yes, please. IF possible, of course. I mean, if every game ends with a superpowerful China, then there's something wrong. IMO, size without good management should delay tech advancement. I know EU3 had a size penalty, but if was not for the differentiation between western and eastern, China would end up super upper Great Power.

Just put a few ships at strategic points and you have 0 pirate problem.

True, except for one thing. If you start at a later date, you are virtually assured of pirates popping up all over before you can get ships where they belong. This is a pain when you start with a war in progress.

Really, light ships should be scattered widely over your empire.

(Of course, I'm referring to countries like Spain; obviously Austria doesn't get this problem.)

I don't want to see POPs. Too much processing power needed to handle them.

NO POPS??? That's gonna make the game really boring and unrealistic, No manpower, No taxation bonus on populated provinces and no fun.... But again its my opinion
