1. Emphasis on westernization as progress:
What halted technological progress in Asia and Arabia was the political bureaucracies that rejected the political and economics reforms seen in Europe during the 14 century. The nations in Asia shouldn't need to border Europe to 'westernize' but with enough political and economic reform should gain the tech bonuses anyway. If the game starts prior to 1350 (which I doubt) then Europe should actually be weaker in terms of technological progress then Asia or Arabia. I actually think that it would be cool that if in an alternate history 2+ chinese states (Ming looses control and ends up having multiple states in China, encourages competition needed to colonize the new world) and Japan were the colonial powers and Europe remained as backwards as it was in the 14th century.
2. Current War goals and War score: The war score systen sucks in EUIII. If I am fully occupying a country I should be able to occupy it. Adopt the CKII war score policy, but make war goals work more like in V2.
3. The Big Blue Blob
4. EU III with improved Graphics
5. Inflation: As a soon to be Econ major, I can confidently say that the inflation system in EUIII is crap.
6. The political left-right indicator thingy seen in EUIII: I would much rather politics work like in V2 or CK2
7. cascading alliances/wars
