Just a sort of fun thread of all the different historical events and developments that actually did occur during the Second World War, but are basically impossible in HoI4. It may be due to how the game is designed, or that the AI is simply unwilling to do something without a focus telling it specifically to do so. Of course, many of these will be assuming a singleplayer game without much player intervention.
Here are a few things I've never seen happen, or are entirely impossible:
-Finnish Continuation War
-Stalemate in China
-Anyone south of the USA joining the Allies
-Italian armistice after losing Sicily, Italian Civil War, etc.
-Japan surrendering without mainland invasion (fixed next DLC)
-Case Anton (fixed next DLC), Battle of Madagascar, and most things Vichy
-Anglo-Iraqi War
-Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran
-Annexation of Alsace-Lorraine by Germany
-Occupation of Iceland/Faroe Islands, or anything related to Denmark's overseas territories
-Most historical foreign volunteers or soldiers in exile (Czechs, Poles, etc.)
I'd hope to see the developers consider these things, especially with the new mission/decision system, as well as in any future DLC.
