An option that partially removes the restrictions of Way of Life. For example, instead of previously existing gameplay being separated and locked behind a paywall and long cooldown, all of the gameplay should be available to your character at a basic level. And your chosen Focus unlocks more advanced/higher tier options.

What paywall? You either have way of life and you can access those events with a specific focus or you don't and all decisions remain as they were.

"All gameplay should be available" I imagine you mean, spy on someone, challenge to a duel, seduce someone, etc... You can't open those without there being a limit of sorts, the computer would not be able to handle it at all. And you may start seeing all sorts of wonky things as spying/killing/seducing start triggering close to each other. You probably need at least a limit to "one at a time" for it to work at all, so I imagine that the best solution would be to have an option to get rid of the time limit to change focus out.

The only ambition I think is actually missing is "want to marry" and "want to marry a ruler" but the other ones would be really redundant.

If you don't mind me asking what events have been removed? have they not just been reworked into something else?

Want to marry was kind of brokenly easy to do.

Some events were removed as a result of Way of Life, such as escape from prison (at least that's the most obvious example).

Ahistorical Empires on/off :D, please?
Already exists?

Want To Marry was also basically useless on yourself, just +10 Piety. The only thing it was useful for was the easy "fulfilled ambition" opinion modifier on your courtiers

Yes.

But is something that people really want in real life. My only actual argument to keep it on the game is to give something to some low level characters to want, for flavor. It may really be useless as a motivation, but it felt like it added to some character to some characters.

The thing is that the ambition has nearly no use, while most, if not all, the other are mid or long term ambitions. Getting married required two clicks and gave you 10 piety. Nothing interesting.
However, if it changed the stance of the AI towards you (for example, it would only send marriage proposition to someone with the "Getting married" ambition) or some other thing, then yeah it could be an interesting ambition.
But as of now it's completely useless. Getting married is not difficult in CK2, and the reward of the ambition is nearly negligeable.

I see, I really wish that they had implemented that way in the game, It seems like a missed opportunity.

It exists in CK2+ but I haven't seen that option in vanilla yet.
It depends on what you're asking for. You can turn off "decision" empires, but I guess you're going for stuff like turning off "Scandinavia" for example.

Yeah that is what I meant. This could in theory work as an alternative rule, as like I said CK2+ has vanilla empires as an optional rule, but that method might be clunky (de-jure set up changed by event I suspect, never enabled in CK2+).
