Hello everyone.
I don't know if somebody posted some similar things before, but I didn't find this kind of post, so I'm just mentioning some things now, which I'd like to see in HoI IV.
One of the worst things (at least in my opinion) in HoI 3 was the diplomatic window.
Why do I think so?
1. You weren't able to stop a war with another faction. You had to fight until you conquered the whole world.
2. You weren't able to leave a faction.
3. You weren't able to release puppets.
4. You weren't able to annex pupptets/declaring war on them, so they keep being a puppet forever.
5. You weren't able to annex regions/provinces you'd like to.
6. States went to exile too often. You weren't able to annex regions of those states then.
What I'd like to see in HoI IV is a diplomatic system which has elements from Victoria II in it. But more complex.
Paradox, you guys said that you are about to make battle plans more complex.
Why not adding an option which makes it possible to theoretically annex every region that exists on the map, when you're winning a war (You weren't even able to annex Alsace Lorraine as Germany in HoI3!)?
Why not adding an option which makes it possible to select single regions and annex them (the ability to rename provinces would be also awesome. Or that every provinces on earth have English names if you play as GB or the US, German names, if you play as Germany for example)?
What about gaining cores that can be a cause for declaring war like in Victoria II?
What about a ranking system with the greatest super powers? What about demographics and population development?
What about a nationality mapmode (which would be pretty important; especially for the German campaign)?
I hope that you'll implement at least some of my suggestions.
If you don't like them, please don't be too rude.
Thanks for your attention.
