Overall I think the new training / recruitment mechanic is a big improvement, so that's exciting.
Really not thrilled by the sprites doing pushups and jumping-jacks, however. This kind of smacks of the devs having a good laugh (and much deserved, I don't doubt, I'm sure they are working extremely hard and are under a lot of pressure). However, I really hope this doesn't make it into final release. It just looks incredibly childish and detracts from the game's seriousness.
I'm not against humor -- I think a lot of the humor in CKII works, i.e. it's in small enough doses that it doesn't detract from the game experience, but enlivens it because it's used sparingly and to good effect. "It's good to be the king."
The pushups and jumping jacks just seem out of place to me. It's going to feel like a joke that gets old very fast.
How bout a simple icon that indicates the unit is training -- akin to what you get in Vicky II, when units have artillery or aircraft attached?
