It's not going to be one of those things where Christian Tribals get left out, is it?

Will Christian Tribals get any unique flavour at all? Considering they don't get coronations or the new warrior lodge mechanic.

They don't get coronations.

But it was mentioned that tribal Catholics if not Zealous and if near a pagan will also get access to warrior lodges.

And in a world where Christian tribals can take concubines and raid I really struggle to think of how they are left out.

Great bonus. Unsure how it'll be if you convert to Roman and Hellenism/Catholicism though.

I think that's just going to be the added give and take of bloodlines.

Do you want to go X direction that may involve invalidating a bloodline bonus, how worth it is that direction to you vs that bloodline.

Hm, that LC+LI retinue looks like it could be pretty strong on its own. One more item in a short list of ways to get less than 75% cavalry without archers or mounted archers. Too bad very few tribals have cultural buildings that boost light cavalry. In a random world with iberian tribals though, it'd be pretty crazy.

And we can see that 5 (240 maintenance worth of units each) retinues use 1.2k retinue cap, so these use a normal amount of retinue cap. Since right now tribals have a ridiculously small retinue cap, I'm guessing they're getting an increase on that front (likely so since our example has 1.2k ret cap as a duke, which would require some pretty crazy tech/realm size on the current patch.

The things that bother me are these
1: Savage-looking norse rulers even after they got converted to Cristianity
2: Nomadic-looking muslim turks
3: If the byzantines are getting that much love for holding portraits, i'd like to have a complete redo of all european holdings, or just differentiate north europeans and south europeans (Give new holdings to iberian and italian cultures)

Who said whining didn't work?

As of today, working on two mods that give:
1. Late Norse civilized clothes after 1200.
2. Middle Eastern holdings to Turkish gfx. Nomads still have nomad stuff, but once settled they get cities and castles Arab-style.

byzantine ones for turks and persians would be nice since turks and persians had architecture in common and it wouldn't be like arabic ones (except earlier on)

Persians have their own unique models. We are not going to mess with that.

We don't have access to the new Byzantine models yet. Won't use them anyway. While MAYBE appropriate for Ottomans in Greece, it won't work for Seljuks. There is so far only one .gfx.

The plan is to make it now, maybe release before HF, depending on its release date.

In the long run, it would be ideal to have two Turk cultures:
Turkic (steppe version) with kings named Khans, and with old feudal steppe models.
Turkish (arabized Anatolian version) with kings named Sultans, with Middle Eastern holding models.
Maybe Paradox can make it so?

I have a huge request to make of Paradox though.
It would be phenomenal for modders if there were a separate gfx. for each culture. Don't know if that is possible.

We have been wanting a Baltic, Hungarian, Berber, Andalusian, Egyptian, Levantine, Occitan, Vlach, Alan, Armenian, Afghan, Bengali, Assamese, Somali, Nenets gfx's for ages now, for modding purposes it would equal a little revolution if we got those.

Here is plans for mods:

20181009163620_1.jpg Turkish mod will combine these units with these holding models.

kikm.jpg
Norse will look like this before 1200 (This mod already exist.)
20181009163300_1.jpg
And like this after 1200 (With new Norse late outfit mod.)

Beautiful Vikings mod link

do persians have their own buildings, and how do they look like?

edit: anatolian turkish having arabic, desert background gfx would make no sense but buildings.. I could live with that
