There's something wrong with my COA...

When I started a new game in 769, I noticed many Coat of Arms had been randomly swapped. Even the de jure kingdoms and empires have the wrong sprite. I'm pretty confident that's not what France, England and the empire of Britannia were supposed to look like! I tried restarting the game and deleting the old and possibly corrupt save file, to no avail. Can somebody please tell me what the hell is going on with my game?

Either I'm crazy or these COA are completely out of place! Or are they supposed to change and I am not aware of it?

Isn't this when you're supposed to remove the "cache" in My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II?

I had this problem when I added some landed titles into the game without providing a CoA with them. So if you also did that, you might want to fix it.
Otherwise delete your cache, that's probably where the problem lies

Is it by any chance one of these 2 files (or both), inside the map folder?
I'm afraid of deleting something and screwing up my game.

No, the files you need to delete are in the gfx folder.

Inside gfx there's only another folder (flags), and inside this one I can't find any "cache" file...

Delete the entire Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\gfx folder, it rebuilds itself when you load the game up again

I have two duchies in France with the same CoA. Maybe I try this fix too.
