So with a DLC released relatively recently and the devs gathered around their Yule dinner and glögg, there's some waiting time for us fans until they announce their next DD, which will probably be about the Nordic nations.
So I told OpenAI to write us some
. I know the community frowns on DD filler content, but this will fill the gap between official dev diaries. Please remember that this is a work in progress, the content pack that might not even exist in any form or even be about Scandinavia, and the devs were not consulted, so as usual, nothing is set in stone. Enjoy!
If anyone else wants to try to contribute to the dev diaries while the devs are away with their families, go to https://beta.openai.com/playground and ask away.
Edit:
btw: after watching this I need a test run of a Hearts of Iron IV AI file in my life.
So I told OpenAI to write us some
Greetings from the development team at Paradox Interactive! We’re excited to announce our upcoming DLC for Hearts of Iron IV – Scandinavia!
This new content pack will bring the historically significant region of Scandinavia to life in the game. Players will be able to take on the role of one of the region’s major powers – Denmark, Sweden, and Norway – and guide them through the tumultuous times of the early 20th century. Players will also be able to play as Finland, which is newly added to the game with this DLC.
The DLC will include a variety of new features and content, such as:
• Unique national focuses for each of the Scandinavian nations.
• New events and decisions that reflect the historical events and challenges of the region.
• New technology tree with unique military and economic bonuses.
• New historical figures, such as the Swedish king Gustav V and the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen.
• A new map of Scandinavia, which will allow for more detailed strategic planning.
We’re also looking into adding more content in the future, such as new units, buildings, and even a new map of the Baltic Sea.
Fritjof Nansen is a prominent historical figure in Hearts of Iron IV and plays a significant role in Scandinavia. He is a Norwegian explorer, scientist, diplomat and humanitarian who negotiated the Nansen Passport, which allowed stateless people to travel, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922. In the game, Nansen is featured as a special adviser to the Scandinavian countries. He provides advice on a wide range of topics, from diplomatic relations to technological developments. He also provides a unique set of bonuses to the Scandinavian countries, including increased research points and improved diplomatic relations with other countries.
The new map of Scandinavia in Hearts of Iron IV features a more detailed and realistic portrayal of the region. The map features more accurate geographical features and terrain, such as detailed mountain ranges, coastal regions, and rivers. The map also includes more accurate city and province locations, as well as updated borders between the different countries. The map also includes more detailed information on the region's industry and infrastructure, such as ports, railroads, and factories. Finally, the map also includes more detailed information on the region's political situation, such as its alliances and factions.
Unfortunately I used up my rate limit before I could ask it about the new units and buildings for Scandinavia, but this looks promising so far. New national focuses, events, and even a unique Scandinavian tech tree, and apparently traditional alternative history like the late Nansen acting as a significant Scandinavian advisor! If anyone else wants to try to contribute to the dev diaries while the devs are away with their families, go to https://beta.openai.com/playground and ask away.
