Bear in mind that Novgorod or Kiev are very likely to inherit eachother, since one of them is ruled by the son of and the other.

When will the game start and at what time do you guys intend to play?
I just read the last few pages (sorry didn't find the time to read all 23 of them) and due to that don't know which kingdoms/duchies one is allowed to choose.
I am not a very experienced CK player but mind you I have fought my fair share of wars in other paradox multiplayer games (Victoria mostly).

Btw don't you think it might be better to start your own subforum for this game possibly at Blood and Iron (Victoria MP Community) since it might be easier to organize things that way.

For kingdoms/duchies, there is a list somewhere around page 5, anything poorer then Norway is good.
I think that having the game here is better, since it will allow easier recruiting for players after players drop, which will probably happen sooner or later.

I propose:
Kiev is taken by Sterk (if he still wishes to)
Novgorod is taken by Scorpi (again, if he wishes to)
Sterk is granted an extra change in inheritance (by editing before starting to play), so that they can avoid inheriting each other. Kiev could be going elective, for example, it has quite some Rurikovich courtiers and vassals, several being good.

Why can't we do that here? We can have dip threads, we can PM eachother and so on. What is that we cannot do here, but can do on another forum?
Yes, what's wrong with this forum? Why go to all the trouble of setting up an additional forum when Paradox, in their kindness, have given us a perfectly fine one? One which, I may add, is visible to people who don't already know about the game, and might be interested in joining.
Which is why we need to be here. People will drop during the game, it will happen. How will we recruite new players if they don't KNOW whether we are playing or not, or what the status of the game is. We NEED to be here.
we can still be here, the point is the ability like in the victoria games, to be able to create our own subforum with our subthreads. Unless were hijacking this entire forum for the benefit of our game surely its understandable.
The Duchy on Russia is Pronsk. Kiev is too big and strong compared to Novgorod and Masovia, plus it starts too close the the last one.
Also Bin, if you are wilingly we could switch spots. As the noob i am i guess no one would mind having me inherit both Leon and Castile at start.
But i obviously need to know if we will make the edits i proposed beforehand. If so, i prefer my lovely Flanders.

Either way - did the roster i proposed go ahead or what? And the rules, partly, completely, or totaly refused?
I think moving to a new forum would be contradictory to the spirit of the game. We want people to know we're playing and hopefully check in every now and then. If we're writing AARs, having a link to our thread (from the AAR forum) would definitely help out.
Perhaps we should all PM Lurken our preferences, come to think of it, then he can divvy it up from there. Also then we can set a definite roster based on who PMs Lurk, cause based on the time difference between the first posts and the present, the posts in the thread might not be entirely reliable for a solid roster.

I'm still in, and I'll take the Northern Italian duchy indicated on the map (Toscana?). I'll PM Lurken as well if that's what we're doing.
Let's not make exceptions for anyone.
As I said - if anyone is playing Kiev, someone should play Novgorod too.
If someone takes Pronsk, then Polotsk would be the logical second Russian duchy.
That having said, I think Russia needs 2 people in it and at least 2 on the near borders (Hungary, Poland, Georgia).
Polotsk! I must admit i didnt even remember of that. But then, that means one less player on Poland. Which doesnt sound that bad tbh.
