I would love to be able to play well into the 19th C, but, I'm not really interested in 100-year-long scenarios. I like looooooong GCs. I don't think I'm alone on that either. I have a feeling that way more people would play AON if it were possible to continue from an AGC or EEP game. The obvious problem...nation tags, of course. There aren't enough to represent the full richness of AON while keeping the original EUII nations. That's why there should be two AONs, selectable through moddir:
1) AON Rich
The AON as it stands now.
2) AON Light
All the AON monarchs & events for countries that exist in EEP/AGC/EUII, plus a few extra nations to help install some of the flavour of the AON period (CSA & Bolivia come to mind). Nations like the Duchy of Warsaw and Austria-Hungary would use their nearest equivalents (like Poland and Austria) and native nations would become modern ones (e.g. Inca becomes Peru) through clever use of text.csv and country.csv in moddir. Would this be as good as AON Rich? Obviously not, but it would give a whole new audience the chance to experience AON, and it would make people like me REALLY happy.
