Army:
There are no ideology specific "Spirit of Command".
There are no nation specific Army Spirits.

Navy Spirits:
There is only one country specific "Spirit of the Academy" and its for USA.
There are no ideology specific Navy Spirits.

Air Force Spirits:
There is only one country specific "Spirit of the Command" and its for UK.
There is only one ideology specific "Spirit of the Command" and its for Communists.

Increasing amounts of these to all main ideologies, WW2 countries, DLC countries, even monarchist path and formables will enrich the game a lot.

It is very good game mechanic in my opinion.

Also the Bureau of Ordnance spirit for USA should be far worse than the negative 10% (?) it currently gives.

All the majors should have a least one unique spirit, preferably more. And not just for flavour. Little things like this help the player try different play styles with different countries. It’s good to mix things up when nations can occasionally feel like carbon copies in some areas.

Worth mentioning and in my opinion one of the most forgotten aspects of HoI4, is that the direction the great powers went in certain areas of let's say the military, has already been set some years before 1936 in some cases, or at least the foundation for it layed as to why for instance Germany took this approach later on, and not another one.

There should be unique spirits for majors, and some in my opinion even preset like the Bureau of Ordnance. So if the player for example wants to change the direction in which he takes the Japanese Navy after 1936, it can of course be done. But at some cost.

And also military national spirits could be replaced by spirits in the high command but this is another topic.

...also, it does not work :p
(unless it implies night penalty for when you use your carrier as a mobile airfield, or something along these lines - which is hardly what anyone is after)

Before adding anything, they should really make current ones somewhat more balanced and clearly explained.

The Bureau of Ordnance should be made if not worse, than at least harder to remove. Perhaps locked behind a National Focus as other forum members have suggested.

I think the idea of preset officer spirits is a good one and could be extended to high command as well. So for example, Ernle Chatfield was already First Sea Lord in 1936 so the UK starts with him as Navy Chief. As a player the XP he provides is a nice bonus but there's a PP cost trade off if you want to replace him for someone with a different/better stat bonus. Or Werner von Fritsch as Germany, part of the high command in 1936, so why not start with him preset? Again, a potentially interesting trade off if and when you want him replaced, not to mention a bit of added flavour for different countries.
