The new French Strong Strong Duchies bonus shown off in the last dev diary gives +3 diplomatic relations, and I just can't help but imagine how that will be abused to ally all 7 electors as France, or something like that. Picture of the bonus in the spoiler:
That could be fixed by requiring you to have at least 3 vassals before you get the bonus, but there is a better option. Why not just make the bonus add +3 vassal-only diplomatic relations, so that France could actually have these vassals without being able to abuse it to get way too many allies. You could also add a +1 vassal-only diplomatic relations bonus to the aristocratic idea group to buff that group a little bit. Such a modifier would have its uses throughout the game. Maybe you could make it accessible with noble privileges, so any country could have this kind of bonus if they empowered their nobility. That could make it more viable to keep the vassals around if that's what you want to do.
