I find culture changing mechanic to be of some interest. It's sometimes useful and if we aren't in a need of DipP it might be a good investment in stability of a region. It's just expensive.
Since culture changing is not something we do all the time, but only once so often, I think there could be a new diplomatic advisor to reduce the cost and/or time of culture changing. Considering the fact that people could click the button and fire the advisor there ought to be something stopping them from that.

Compared to say, ruler and leader traits, the advisor pool is really quite small. We could probably increase each type by 50% with ease.

Agreed but I'd like a balancing pass first - some of the advisors are far too generally strong compared to others; -RR, missionary power, improved relations, morale and discipline being basically must haves, with other options being something you only take if the above are not available.

It can already be annoying to get the advisor you want since you only have three possible ones available at a time (without bonuses). If we add more situational ones, we also need to change the way we hire them so you don't have to fire yours over and over and over again.

It would add more utility to the “additional advisors” ideas which would passively buff a few of the idea groups.

Yes, it’s time for more advisors. I can think of 8 of them off the top of my head without too much thinking, especially after the additional combat modifiers were added in RoM

I hadn't thought about this, but you're right. Also some of the advisers are unbalanced, -10% stability cost is silly. Reworking adviser bonuses would make the game better.
