Part 75 - The Siberian Legacy

This shouldn't prove too difficult.

The grand succession war finally ends, to the Ottomans' relief.

Delhi loses one war, but immediately sparks another.

Wurttemberg is left alive, hopefully to become French fodder.

Wurzburg is OPM'ed, and we wish them a similar fate.

Castille is pushed out to sea. Now, if only Denmark would bring in some transports... A single regiment would do, since Asturias has no fort, nor defenders.

A claim on the Mongolian steppes might be handy... once others eat the Oirat Horde.

Champa is no more.

Nor is Münster. Thank you, Denmark.

Bohemia, we're forced to deal with ourselves.

Gondwana, gone.

Sadly, the Danes didn't bother do more than blockade.

More bad news. Siberian nationalists have taken Tobolsk, and Zaporozhie has no way to clear those rebels. Asking or giving Military Access is on 'impossible' odds, so we have to do a more direct intervention.

It does take a while to find a war combination that doesn't bring us into a tangle with the Ottomans or the Timurids. Bless Chagatai.

Delhi can't reach us at present - nor can most of the others.

Our wily Stadtholder ultimately kicks the bucket. His replacement is to be fired ASAP.

We trim down Nogai, despite a lack of core provinces. The goal here is to make them a tempting target for the Timurids.

We carve Zaporozhie down to size.

This does cost, of course...

Still, we're always ready for another war of opportunity.

Part 76 - Rigan Removal, Timurid Trimmings

Ming returns - as a Sunni power.

Khandesh beats Mysore in the siege race. Since they can no longer be annexed, we make peace on their behalf.

The pagans of the New World quickly turn into good Prussians. Mixtec marks the last of them. Time to spread the Animist faith again.

Time to remove our longest-lasting thorn in the side; Riga. Sadly, they're Protestant, which means a stability hit.

Wurttemberg is quickly peaced.

I like the new guy.

The Timurids see fit to remove an OPM, and we intervene.

We're not alone. They are.

The good mission concludes, replaced by a crappy one.

...it can't get much better than this. A great Diplomacy ruler, and three solid Diplomats. It'll be a downhill ride from here.

One less nation to worry about.

Madurai tests our patience, so we intervene. They have more than one province, we have a need for more land. It's a win-win situation - for Prussia.

They're in trouble, methinks.

Riga, on the other hand, shall never trouble anyone ever again - at least not as a nation on the map.

Spies, the way to make an instant allied army.

A strange treat for Manchu; rebels rebelling back into the fold.

Time to trim down the Timurids. They're finally evicted from East Africa, and pushed south from the steppes.

This does fill up our BadBoy quota, though.

Alas, we don't luck out with the mission generator. No new 'improve reputation' mission, despite being in the 'sweet zone'.

Another day, another Imperial election.

Yet another reason to fight Zaporozhie.

The same for Assam.

Madurai is trimmed down for their ambitions.

Part 77 - Relocating to Brandenburg

Time to centralize our government.

T'is expensive, but Berlin had more appeal.

This sort of appeal.

I'm actually more happy about the attrition bonus than the extra discipline. At this point, I'll win by numbers anyway, so having an easier time moving my armies through low-supply provinces is better than a little more staying-power in battles.

A claim on Ferrara is certainly welcome, since they're the nation we'll most certainly get into wars with.

Colony done, then a manufactory mission.

The Golden Horde is appraching their doom.

We leave Ansbach for France.

It doesn't take them long to do our bidding.

Doubly so, even.

Stadtholder change... but the new fellow is equally skilled in the field that matters.

Mysore and Khandesh wants to dance, Prussia cues up the music.

Deccan crashes the party. This is interesting, this might be exploited...

Massakar, we leave be. Ultimately, so does Brunei. They have trouble sailing in pirate-infested waters.

Serbia will be ours, in the end.

Khandesh beat us in the race for Goa. No matter. See those Deccan forces moving south?

To help them, we OPM Mysore.

Deccan does the rest.

Aceh crumbles.

Amazingly, Genoa lost their invisibility cloak in the move to Nice. Prussia supports Ferrara by staying out of the conflict.

Genoa, no more. For good, this time.

Time to get rid of the last Russian nation. We've let them suffer in the bitter cold for long enough - and they've been under rebel siege for a good portion of that time.

Have been in India since the first Ming war.

Riga cost 1 BB for the DoW, and 3.5 BB for annexing a same-religious-group country with a core. With Lithuania and Novgorod long gone from the area, they're almost as invisible as Crete to other AIs.

When are you going to take some room to play with your animists in Southeast Asia?

Whenever I can. I do try to provoke them whenever I'm not in a 'convert back' period, even with limited room to expand. The nice thing about the SE Asian animists is that they rise up as my level of infantry, so if they wander into the smaller nations over there, they'll still do the job.

Part 78 - Exit Novgorod

We chase off the rebels and finish the siege they started many decades ago.

Thus endeth Novgorod... and good riddens.

Nine stars is re-election guaranteed.

Time for another war, to clear up some assorted loose ends.

Shouldn't be too much trouble, this.

Hausa, gone.

Mamluks, gone.

One mission cancelled, five years until the next one...

Champassak is in trouble. Prussia wishes to help.

Armagnac is one step closer to their end.

An agressive Pope? How odd.

Even more curious, Ferrara jumps Corsica instead of the Pope.

Annam is let off the hook, this time.

Zaporozhie gets an overdue trimming.

Shan joins the target list.

Songhai is reduced, and we make preparations for a migration.

All this brings us right back to the limit.

One more reason to smack Adal around.

Corsica, removed. Only three OPM Mediterranean island nations left.

Siena is also gone.

The Oirats are in trouble... look at those dangerous rebels in the single Ming province bordering them.

Slider time; another push to Quantity.

Ming pays the price by giving up a big chunk of their cores. Manchu breathes easier.

Time to defend the island nation of Travancore.

It's so much fun, force-converting neighbors with rebels.

Madurai is left with paying only a small penance, since we can only afford so much.

Annam didn't learn their lesson, so we'll have to intervene yet again.

BadBoy level going down.

We still have a superb combination at court.

Patron of the Arts has yet to help us with the Innovative slider.

With the large empires in trouble, the tiny trader nations are having a blast - as long as Prussia lets them.

We're busy trying to catch up in the economics techs.

Even Ireland has made the 'great powers' list.

Good thing Japan is behind in tech. Our Pacific fleet is fairly small.

664 provinces and rising.

It's a fairly Prussianized world. More Sunni than Catholic provinces now.

Eastern Europe, political map mode.

Animism still has ways to go.

The West Slavic culture group is under pressure.

The state of the world.

Prussia will grow even further. Lots of land yet to colonize.

To All: I've just concluded playing this game, all that's left is to edit the last of the screenshots, add quick comments and publish regularly. Not entirely happy with the outcome, but I did do better than in my France AAR, I dare say. We'll get to that some forty or fifty parts down the line.

Sheesh, I thought you people would appreciate faster updates... And I have a fair buffer to 'clean out', if I'm to get ready for the finished 3.2 patch.

Girlfriend I neither have nor miss having, job I do have - and during 'spare time' and as long as the web filtration system doesn't block Photobucket, I get to tinker with the AAR at the office. Monitoring computer systems can be dull, but rewarding in other ways.

It irks me that I started this without fully understanding how force conversion worked. I could have done so much better. Still, there are at least some culture groups that do not exist come 1821.

Meh. Innovative, I know I'll get through event, eventually. Quantity, I cannot at the top of my head recall an event that pushes you towards, much less many times. I'll use the rapid reinforcement as an excuse, but my main reason is really the ability to enact as many national decisions as possible - i.e. the Naval Recruitment Act, in this case.

Part 80 - Indian Ventures

We claim Tlemcen.

Good things cannot last forever. A new Stadtholder emerges.

It would be nice if Makassar bought it.

Our capitol is finally Prussianized.

Annam is trimmed down. Sadly, we cannot go all the way to OPM in one go.

We expected something like this. Nationalists have risen up, and Deccan is unable to ship troops to fight them.

Prussia offers to help.

Rajputana is a bit of a handful for our local garrisons, but so be it.

Deccan is OPM'ed.

As is Bundelkhand.

Maharasthra is de-cored.

Madurai once more attempt to assail Travancore, but pirates keep their fleets in port.

Khandesh is OPM'ed.

At least the new guy is an able Administrator.

From Rajputana, we take only very specific lands, as our BadBoy alotment can only tolerate so much. We claim their Center of Trade in Kutch, and the special province of Dadra.

...we really need to do something about that assassin hiding in the Stadtholder's residence.

We get to pass The Mining Act...

...and the ownership of Dadra kicks in.

Prussian Mongolia, I like the sound of that.

We built a Refinery in Martinique instead, and fail our mission. The new one does not hold much appeal.

Just trying to clear the 'buffer' a little bit.

Bosnia was not really a priority - the reason is that in my experience, the smaller powers don't seem to bother with missionaries. I only ever see 'big' powers use them (France, Ottomans, Timurids, Ming).

I wouldn't have bothered if it was just prestige... So yes, it was a core reward mission.
