There is only one question, really

It's ridiculous to want China in a Pdox Rome game, because the performance will suffer for no particular reason.

Have two different scenarios in which one features Europe and the other one features Asia.

Having it combined will lead to ridiculous performance drawbacks while East Asia and Europe will barely ever interact. It's a waste of computing power that could be used much better.
If the game is designed for it then no there is no issue.
And separate geographical games is something I oppose. Because it screws up the export chain. Also the romans and chinese did interact, also the scythians invaded them both and the huns, oh and greeks interacted directly with india, in fact if the game is set soon enough after the death of alexander there would be hellenic sucessor kingdoms in western india, soon to be ground to dust by the scythians but still.

CK2 found a viable solution. I don't see the issue.
Ck2 was a game that was already launched, and several years old, and had already been expanded upon before, the trick was to make it work as a DLC. When you're building a new game there isn't an issue.

Also ck2s feudal structure makes map expansions very heavy on it but no state in this era was feudal.
