There is one feature that CK3 *desperately, desperately needs* and I havn't seen it discussed

Understanding code someone else (and the generative algorithm is someone else, even if the training corpus is your own code) wrote can take as long as writing it yourself.
Especially when they write their code like something straight out of an older or obscure language like say , undocumented RPG or undocumented assembler.

Everyone who recommends ChatGPT as the new panacea for problem (x) should receive one (1) wedgie.
I swear, there's a group of people out there that thinks that everything right not can/should be solve by just slapping AI over the problem.

We should ask GPT4 what to do about them.

The biggest problem with events isn't variety, it is that they don't matter much:

1) Gameplay wise, events don't give serious modifiers: read this and you gain + 10 opinion with some random courtier.

2) They are completely disconnected with any emergent narrative going on in the game. Events could be more dynamic, changing drastically depending on characters involved, traits, plots, wars, opinions, etc.

And honestly I don't think your first item matters that much, except as it connects to your second point: many events are totally disconnected from any sense of place and person. Royal Court, I think, has exacerbated a lot of what I find frustrating. It used to feel like events were random occurrences in random places, but with Royal Court it does feel like there's a place for them, and that place is in court with people asking for your judgements. So it's slightly more annoying when, hey, here's an event mid-war telling you about two pointless people having an affair. Buddy, if you care about this, go cool your heels in my foyer, and I'll get to you when I get around to clicking the Hold Court button.

I defined "not too bad" as "I was expecting it to have no idea what I was talking about" :p
That is the fundamental issue with tools like ChatGPT right now. You must NEVER use it for something you couldn't verify yourself.

I actually use ChatGPT productively by letting it write minor scripts to save me the time reading man-pages or looking up specific standard libraries i haven't used in ages.
It works amazingly well and it saves me a lot of time, but it only works, because i notice when the AI messes up. Then i point out the issue and tell it to fix it (usually with precise instructions on how to) and that is a procedure that works for me.

However, that is not an approach that any laymen could do. Beginner programmers/developers will have a hard time engineering a proper prompt for the AI to get what they want and if it doesn't work they have no means to fix it.

Same with asking some scientific knowledge. It will get a lot of the principles right, but many details are likely to be wrong. It usually just makes up numbers that sound right, but have no basis in reality.
So generating a helpful text that explains how gravity works is easy with the AI, but unless you know yourself how gravity works, you will not notice minor mistakes the AI makes. And it WILL make mistakes.

AIs are far away from replacing experts, but they are already a great resource for experts to utilize.
