Probably says a lot about how often people use the terrain map... It's about the only map I never use.
Theoretically it would be quite useful but it's completely incomprehensible =/

I sometimes use the terrain map. Last time I played Russia and attacked into India, I checked the terrain map to see which provinces were mountains because I have zero knowledge about Indian terrain. And it sucks when you have 30 British divisions surrounded but in a forested mountain province with fortresses. Impossible to get the f*ckers out without tanks and artillery!! Should have pushed them into the deserts when I had the chance.
So the terrain map helps a lot in planning the offensive the right way.
If only the fog of war did not shade 95% of the map too dark to tell apart the terrain types...

I have seen that before but have forgotten the story behind Conan's face. Someone care to enlighten me? I think I remember that they were developing a Conan game at the same time or something...
I think it's in there as an easter egg, because Paradox Entertainment owns the rights to Conan. Of course, Paradox Interactive split off from the entertainment branch since the publication of the game. Hope they're still allowed to use Conan's image

Oh no, I always thought they had the rights to Duke Conan II of Britanny. I am so disappointed. :wacko:
I had a dream about this last night oddly enough...Except in my dream the face was a black and white puppy face. and it was in Northern Canada instead of Asia.
