Theatre Mode?

I was curious as to what other people thought of this idea.

Essentially, the game is the same as it is now with the exception that the player could choose to begin a game solely in, say, the European Theatre, Pacific/Asian Theatre, African Theatre, etc, and be cut off from the rest of the world. I thought this might add some strategic depth to the game and allow it to play out in an instance where the U.S. didn't join the war or where other forces don't exist outside of your chosen theatre.

Just an idea, might be interesting for future updates.

At least as a mod, it'd be interesting to have heavily scriped local scenarios where you for example can't declare war on certain countries before war was declared historically. Can't see the devs doing it any time soon, but it'd be interesting if it was scripted enough.

The theatres in WWII were so intertwined, however, that cutting off large parts of the world doesn't make much sense unless there's significant scripting involved in my eyes. For example, if you play in the ETO, I feel the Brits should have to forego whatever units they sent to the Pacific historically. War in the East's smaller scenarios actually despawned units when they historically left the area of the scenario.
